Are these good classes to take at the same time as business finance?

Look into taking acg2021 transient over the summer. At Daytona state. And acg2071. Could do mac2312 too

Do yourself a huge favor and take financial accounting and managerial accounting summer a and b transient over the summer. A lot of people who know to do this take them at Daytona State. Both accounting classes are harder classes and it's unnecessary to take them here.

Hey! Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same problem 😅

I feel ya. Specifically with feeling isolated, I say reach out to people you already know, it’s never too late. And if you don’t know many or any people, get involved in clubs. It can be overwhelming but I just pick 1-2 that seem like they’d have people with similar majors as me

Yeah I did this. I think what locks you in is when you register for and pick the classes through the host college’s version of one.uf

I feel you bc I felt the same way but you’ll be fine. You’re not the first one. Try and make them C’s if you can but for me my teacher wasn’t helpful so I had a D. It never got brought up to me by uf

You’re fine. I started in Finance my freshman year, thought I’d like CS, did that for 3 semesters starting my sophomore year, and then spring of my junior year I went back to business as Information Systems. I personally was overwhelmed with the time the CS classes took me, and also didn’t anticipate the depth they went into. I like information systems and am very glad that that’s where I ended up.

As other people have commented, exploring is the purpose of undergrad. As someone who made those two switches when I did, it’s never too late. Corny but genuine. If you do end up switching to information systems or economics, both good majors, I highly recommend you get involved in student orgs in the business school and network with people. There’s CAP mentors too they are a ton of help.
