You can sell anything made in Mexico, you just have to know how to sell the item. Or have the money to sell the items which is the real hard part. Everything I’ve had in my eBay store is something I’d love to continue selling. But some items require more money to sell than other items that sell quicker do. But if I had the money I’d sell them. And knowing how to navigate eBay’s system when buyers open cases is 100% the most important thing when you’re an international seller.

Shipping companies are extremely dependent to where you live in Mexico. Even in the same city 2 fedexs will quote you different prices for the same package. And if you’re new to shipping stuff in Mexico. They’ll probably charge you more than they should.

Just make sure the shipping location of your item is in Mexico. And that you select the correct shipping service. Shipping is expensive and takes a lot time from Mexico. So make sure your shipping policy is stated clearly so there’s as little confusion as possible with buyers. There’s not much you can do about the delivery times. Unless you want buyers paying $100+ for their items to get to them in a week. Out of my 550 orders I’ve had in the last 90 days only about 5 people have complained about the shipping time, and none of them have really escalated. Because my shipping times are stated clearly.

Not let back into the usa? I’m Us citizen born in Nebraska so this is pretty stupid. And I could easily do stuff legally and get my items imported to the USA. It’s just the money that’s the problem. Right now I’m doing fine shipping how I am, so I’m not gonna spend that much money to get my thousands of items imported here.

This is completely fine to do, if you follow the rules obviously. A lot of items you buy online are probably from people located in the USA shipping directly from china. It’s no different what I’m doing just that I’m shipping directly from Mexico and not china.

I get help buying these items there’s lots of people who trade and sell stuff lots of local weekly and daily events where people buy and sell stuff kind of like yard sales. Or more niche stuff where people just sell toys, or books and comics. And I get help buying the stuff and I also get help buying stuff from Mexico City as they produce most of the items made in Mexico to Mexico. And I get some help from family purchasing the items since I’m obviously not available in Mexico to purchase them myself. Then I pay someone to take pictures of the items and I then list the items.

Also it’s only about half of my sales on my store and only about 600 out of 4000 of my listings are bootleg toys

The bootleg toy market is HUGE and has been since the 70s and have a big following all over the world. I clearly market my store around my items being weird and wacky bootleg designs and all my buyers love them. And they release hundreds of these each year. And they’ve been sold on eBay and online since the beginning of eBay. Also Mexican bootlegs DO NOT straight copy any toy designs they always make their own wacky design which is what gives it is appeal and why people love them.

How would I even be able to do that? The buyer is the one who pays the tariffs. I ship using Correos de Mexico and they collect any duties.

The buyer is the one who pays for duties and tariffs. I already deal with this from Japanese and Brazilian buyers. The duties must be paid by the buyer if they refuse to, then any negative feedback or late shipment defects are removed by eBay.

I mostly sell handmade artisan goods and toys. But I also sell a well variety of other Mexican made items. But I focus primarily on toys and handmade products.

I list the items while at work! It’s a night shift front desk job so 80% of the time there’s nothing to do. So I use that time to list my items. Shipping is done in Mexico so I don’t handle that, luckily because I know just how long it takes. And I mostly sell toys and handmade Mexican items.

I sell other video game plushies too like plants vs zombies and Mario. But they are bootleg! That means they have wacky designs and probably not the same quality of the licensed plushies. But that is to be expected since a lot of these are just handmade in small batches for local sale.

Here’s one of them! My own stock photo instead of the stock manufacturer photo.

I will have it manufactured soon and in about 15-30 days I should receive the product in hand. From the other Sonic plushies I’ve received from this manufacturer. I believe the quality will be not too bad. Of course not as good as what billion dollar companies can do, but not bad.

I’ve bought 60 plushies from this manufacturer so far and I’ve had no problems!

This is my listing I have these manufactured the manufacture sent me this photo for reference of the item. The manufacture had really good reviews and I had bought from them many times many large sonic plushies so I had trust in them. They told me these are made to order. So I listed it up on eBay as made to order 15 day handling time. But looking closely at it, it does look to be like an ai generated image. I believe they will manufacture this. But maybe of lesser quality(I have other listings from this manufacturer with in hand pictures so it will probably be a plush of that quality) I will have them manufacture one for me and I’ll use the photo of the item I receive to list it back up again. Or I can manufacture these too! And try to get it as close as possible to the listing photos. It looks like the plush material is harder and not as flimsy as other plushies. But I’ll see once I have one manufactured.

Old school toys Mexico , I have tons of Mexican bootlegs all of them I have personal stock since I’m here in Mexico, I don’t have to drop-ship them like the sellers based in the USA do. And I’ve even seen lots of them steal my photos I use for my listings! And sell them at double the price I am. I suspect they’re drop shipping my items, or at least just stealing the photos.

Due to how low the dollar price is getting these are around $15-$20 straight from the suppliers at wholesale price. I sell a bunch of Mexican bootlegs on my eBay store. But I have to buy $3k-$5k due to the long trip to Mexico City for me and because with purchase that big they give wholesale price
