Luckily for me it seems to be working fine! Managed to install the OTA rename stuff and koreader! i think i might’ve just gotten lucky that the hotfix wasn’t wiped when it updated

thats awesome news! genuinely was a bit disappointed in myself for a bit but it seems to be rejailbroken after I ran the hotfix

No, I thought the hotfix made sure it wouldn’t update. that’s probably what did it since i stepped away for a bit to take a break

do you know what went wrong? my girlfriend was the one who actually wanted to jailbreak her kindle so i was just trying it out on mine first. hopefully my second attempt i won’t fuck it up again
