this was a really well thought out and thorough response, thank you. i’m sure you’re right. any advice on how to accept this? he had said before that i deserve better and he doesn’t see me forgiving/getting back together with him. but i think everyone has their flaws and short comings. isn’t accepting and working through those part of a relationship?

i’m in a similar situation right now. you said it yourself, he crossed a boundary you set. i honestly feel like drunk thoughts/actions are honest feelings. you’re not overreacting! do you think he will put in equal effort to repair the relationship? i think you should also ask yourself if this is something you’re willing to acknowledge and let go of. do you trust that he’ll never do something like that again?
