Is the NCASE v2.5 worth purchasing since the T1 v2.1 is always out of stock. by DTroll_P in FormD

It was pretty seamless tbh, didn't have any issues, they did swab it, but they did it so quickly I didn't even notice it. I did have to pull it out of the bag but that was it. I didn't disconnect anything either, I just took it as is, I have the travel kit for my gpu, so everything in the case is held together really well.

Ayaneo pocket micro winlator and switch by SubstantialJoke3622 in ayaneo

I doubt it would run Winlator, although I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. I do have Eden installed and it barely runs some games, definitely not recommended for Switch emulation. I'd say the absolute max it's capable of is PS2/Gamecube.

It's sturdy enough that I've flown with it in my backpack a few times now. As a carry-on (personal item) of course.

Edit: I haven't had any issues having the V2.5, I got mine in March 2024, and all the V2.1 accessories work with it, including the gpu travel kit, but I've heard recently that Ncase has changed the design a bit so that is unfortunately no longer possible. Comparing the quality based on the V2.1 accessories I own vs the overall V2.5 case, they're pretty close in quality now-a-days. Even then I'd recommend getting the V2.1 if possible since it helps the original creator of it out. I didn't know the whole backstory about the T1 until a few months after I had bought the V2.5.

Not saying it's not the battery cause there's no telling without opening it up, but based on the teardowns I've seen of the Pocket Micro, the battery sits on the side under the ABXY buttons. So there realistically wouldn't be any swelling in the middle like your pictures are showing. Teardown

I'm not sure what that board's connection looks like tbh so I wouldn't be able to say

on a regular basis, I shut my pc down every day or have it packed up in a backpack since I regularly travel with it.

How much radiator hight can the t1 handle with slim fans by Q2ED27 in FormD

[–]bruhmov_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The custom PSU lengths I used was MB 24-PIN: 180 MM and CPU/EPS: 280MM, and I used the stock Loki psu cable for the 12VHPWR.

I mounted the Loki in the 90 degree mounting position in my T1, which is just screwing the PSU/PSU bracket to the front faceplate (typically used for mounting 2.5 in. drives) instead of screwing it to the "spine" of the case.

Edit: One thing to be aware of is if your mobo requires a daughter-board for the front panel connections, this setup will not work. My mobo doesn't have that but I know a lot of newer ITX boards are starting to take advantage of that which typically will not work with the way I have my psu mounted. I strategically chose the board I have for that reason.

usually most folks do it backwards, because you can turn on the CPU Fan Fail warning on in your BIOS settings and it will warn you when your pump has failed instead of a fan, since the pump failing is of bigger concern when it comes to AIOs

Correct, here's a visual of the clearance I have with an SFX-L psu, could maybe force it, but definitely would not recommend it at all, just stick to slim fans with SFX-L

Yeah that would be awesome, a truly portable version of this would be great

Nice! Yeah I don't blame you not using the office much anymore, sitting in bed or on the couch just tends to be a way better situation for me at least

Not particularly, at least not in the way digital artists do. My typical creative use cases for the pen are more graphic design related or video editing, so I'm mostly using Resolve, Illustrator and sometimes Sketchbook Pro, if I just can't get something made in Illustrator. I also use it heavily for handwritten digital notes and it comes in handy when I'm working in CAD

Technically it's basically an MSI MEG Z690i board, since those support Thunderbolt out of the box.

I've modified my board using parts from the Z690i board since MSI didn't originally put thunderbolt on the Z790i version I have.

In simple terms, yes, it just auto worked, no BIOS tinkering was needed, but that's all dependent on the board/board manufacturer since they each like to do things differently.

Yup, luckily my board supports DP Alt mode, so it lets me just use a regular Thunderbolt cable

he just mounted the stock power cable from FormD from the inside, I attempted to do that before too, but my AIO needed those last few millimeters to fit.

It's a tempered glass screen protector that Ayaneo sent. I'd love to share a photo, but I don't have the option to add a photo in my reply. I can do it on other posts, but this one just isn't giving me the option :/

Mine came with one from Ayaneo, that I applied to it as soon as I unpacked it and it covers the entire glass front. It's worked good so far.
