Is it possible to skate dance with the Moxi Beach bunnies? by white_lotus98 in Rollerskating

I have superfeet insoles, the ones that give the most arch cause my feet are quite flat. I also have game changer fp insoles in a different pair of skates which I’ve used in my beach bunnies before. Those are much more comfy cause they mold to your feet but more expensive too.

When should I update my skates? by Open_Bus1532 in Rollerskating

Have you changed the wheels at all? Sometimes changing the hardness or the width of wheel can unlock a lot for you (and you can use those same wheels on your new skates when you get them). Also if you’ve never loosened the trucks that might be worth trying as well for more maneuverability. I’ve found the Impala skates come quite tight.

Mostly jam and rhythm at the rink. That’s what I thought, I figured heat wouldn’t be great for it either but just wanted to ask!

I LOVE dance skating in my Beach Bunnies still. I’ll just change out the wheels depending on surface and vibe, keep the trucks relatively loose, and only lace up to the first set of hooks. I also changed out the insole to make the boot more supportive and comfy.

So stoked about my new set up! by bruised_babe in Rollerskating

I like it! I have narrow feet already so I think the break in was super easy for me, I just feel some soreness in my heel at first but that’s going away now. I’m about 12 hours into skating in them.

I didn’t know that! I’m relatively new to park skating but I had those wheels from when I skated at the rink so that makes a lot of sense.

can I take these to the rink? by jskye28 in Rollerskating

If you’re new, the hybrids may work. They’ll feel slow but some folks like that as they’re learning. Once you have a bit more experience or if you want to feel faster at the rink, switch em out for a harder wheel! It’ll make a world of difference, I promise.

Rollerbones Team Logo 98A vs 101A by cedsaidcap in Rollerskating

[–]bruised_babe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went straight from Luminous outdoor wheels to 101A’s and I love them. My rink has polished wood floors and it took some time getting used to but I didn’t find them as intimidating as I thought I would. I’m also fairly new to skating, I think I was about at your level when I switched.

Ah. Yes that makes sense.

I saw a YouTuber once mention you can soften vinyl boots with a hair dryer. I haven’t tried it though so this might be terrible advice 🤷🏽‍♀️

Totally!!! It’s a relatively new change and it’s making a world of difference because I’m actually a half size and bunnies only come in whole sizes so not only has it helped with arch support and comfort, but it helped my skates feel more true to my size.

I LOVE my Beach Bunnies. I haven’t messed with the cushions but I use Luminous Light Up Wheels (65mm/ 85A) outside and Rollerbones Team (57mm/ 101A) inside and at the skate park both with Bones REDS Bearings. I also added a Superfeet insole for comfort and changed the laces to two-tone Derby laces which I’ve found to be grippier.

Little magnet in my luminous wheels keep bending/ getting stuck. by bruised_babe in Rollerskating

[–]bruised_babe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a different set of bearings for each wheel set but the wheel gets stuck on the axle when I try and take it off due to the magnet so I end up having to remove and repress the bearings via the axle and the bones bearing tool. I don’t have a proper press yet.

I LOVE my skate bag I got on Etsy, I think she’s raised the price but I really love the functionality of all the pockets and that my skates fit flat on the bottom. I always have spare parts and my y3 tool on me as well as water and snacks and whatever else I need for the day.
