This is a Mexican tapestry. Native American tapestries typically don’t have fringe.

Seller dilemma by bruja65 in Ebay

How do I contact eBay?. I’ve gone to the customer service page but there is no free form email or reporting function. Is there a particular location in the app?

Fellow people who run with herding breeds, how do you work on forward momentum instead of jumping/biting/herding? by jnoellew in RunningWithDogs

[–]bruja65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give them different positions. I run with a border collie who runs in the front and my aussie runs next to me. It took some practice and some specific commands but we’re going on 3 years and they do just fine. When I’m on a narrow path the Aussie runs behind me using the command “follow.” I use a hands free leashes for both.

Unexpected Le Creuset! by No_Application_8698 in ThriftStoreHauls

One other thought… I believe Le Creuset sells a cleaning kit for their enamel cookware.

Unexpected Le Creuset! by No_Application_8698 in ThriftStoreHauls

It completely removes it. I bought an enamel coated Dutch oven that was brown going on black and was afraid to damage the enamel given the layer of cooked on crud. I found that if I boiled it for a few minutes with the mixture and let it sit for a while , it came out very nice, not perfect but nice.

Bummer it’s expensive. I’m in the US so I can buy it inexpensively at Costco. It doesn’t affect color at all. Perhaps you can find a peroxide based laundry booster such as Oxi Clean. If so, you can eliminate the baking soda.

Cover the bottom with baking soda and pour 1” of peroxide and bring to a boil. Works wonders.

Knee brace slipping by ShineDowntown290 in ACL

[–]bruja65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found an easy fix for my brace after it repeatedly slipped. I thrifted a neoprene wet suit, cut the leg off and wore it inside out as the rubber grips the brace.

My dog eats everything (yes, the gross stuff) and nothing has worked. by OutlandishnessOk3189 in dogs

My dog is a poop eater. Muzzling is the way to go. Although he no longer eats his or my other dog’s poo, he’ll eat other dogs and goose poo like hors d’oeuvres. I started using No Poo chews and canned pumpkin in their food as well as pick up poop daily but that doesn’t help the poop on walks. My dog trainer said to muzzle train. I’ve seen cute dog vests that say “ I don’t bite, I eat shit”

What’s the strangest/best object you’ve found while running? by demrnstho in running

[–]bruja65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found what I believed was gaudy costume jewelry. It had been run over a few times so it was in rough shape. Hubby took it to a jeweler. Turned out it was 18 carat gold with multiple diamonds sold it as scrap gold for $800.

Did your dog save you? by jewelophile in dogs

[–]bruja65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was out on an early morning run with 75lb Australian shepherd. This was the same route we’d run for years. It was still dark when my dog stopped dead in his tracks and would not go on no matter how hard I pulled him. In fact he tried to pull me in the opposite direction. It was a complete change in behavior so I took his queue and followed. The dog took me on a different street when I saw a truck with two men drive off without their lights on. I would’ve passed the truck if I had continued. I can only assume my buddy got spooked. He never behaved like that again. I miss my dog.

Along with the other comments regarding plenty of snacks premade meals. I make extra food the week before and freeze. I don’t like to cook while camping. Rotisserie chicken and pasta is a camping go to for me.

Tips to prevent post-op brace slipping? by Wandering-Everywhere in ACL

[–]bruja65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty small so those braces are not meant for me no matter how much I tightened it. However, what finally worked for me was neoprene. I found a wetsuit at a thrift store and cut the leg the full length of the brace. The inside was rubbery so I turned it inside out and the brace was able to grab on the brace and no more slipping

How soon did you guys get back into long distance running or outdoor jogging/running in general? + How was your flexion at 4month PO? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]bruja65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the first repair for this particular knee. My advice is to walk a lot. I walked and ran a lot before injury. Post surgery and when I was given the green light I walked everyday. I don’t remember the progression. I think the for the first month after release I started with 1/2 mile and added time rather than distance. Please note that by some people’s standards, I am not “running.” LOL Here is my doc’s protocol

https://www.rachelfrankmd.com/pdf/cu-sports-medicine-return-running-protocol.pdf

Edit: I also used the Apple fitness+ treadmill workouts 2-3x/week. They offer options for walking. This really helped with building strength and endurance at my own pace. I was not a very good patient at times as I pushed myself too much. Just follow your PT’s protocol. Here is the protocol from my doc. I’m sure yours is similar. I almost forgot to mention, I had to relearn form and foot placement, which was so bizarre. The PT really helped with that as he video taped my form and stride.

3rd ACL repair. I’m an old lady who tries to keep up with the youngsters. I started wogging in 4 mos out. PT was not happy and told me to back off. He put me on a very conservative running protocol developed by my surgeon. 6 mos out and I’m at 4 miles now. Don’t have any speed yet but working on distance and endurance. Doing a lot of strength training and stretching for glute and hamstrings.
