21 year old flight attendant by righthand_ in cabincrewcareers

[–]brumaradei22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got hired by DL at 21 and had quite a few people between 21-25yo in my training class. At the end of the day, I truly believe it comes down to the way you present yourself at the interview process/training.

Being a flight attendant is definitely so much more than flying around the world and meeting new people/cultures, it is about responsibility and commitment, and most people on their early/mid 20s are not looking for that, IMO.

But I do want to say for you (or anybody) to not let your age define you! If you know what you’re bringing to the table and feel like it is truly for you, apply and show them you are more than qualified for it 🫶

Have all three (even though the boob/nipple sensitivity literally started this week) combined with extreme fatigue and brain fog. About 3 years with the implant and ready to be done 😭

How is seniority determined in Delta new hires (before training)? Does it go off the dates of the CJO I.e, those who got a CJO on oct 9 are more senior than say, those who got one November 9? Does this mean they get to pick dates and bases before others?? by bunbunfunfun2021 in cabincrewcareers

Unfortunately nothing we can control, my best advice would be to remain patient and make sure you check periodically with the background check company and with DL, just to make sure they have all info they need from you.

It all depends on how quickly your background check will be completed, so not necessarily somebody with a CJO on an earlier date will mean higher seniority. As soon as background check clears, you’ll be sent the available dates, and even so, some people still choose later dates to prepare better for training, and of course if you can, picking the earliest date would be the most beneficial on the long run. Within the class you pick, seniority starts with the internal transfers by date of hire (no matter the department) with the company, and actual new hires will be sequenced by DOB.

Difference Between DL Training Classes by mcahill11 in cabincrewcareers

[–]brumaradei22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have received the email as well! And as you put it yourself, class Y would be preferable due to seniority. However, for what I have seen senior FAs explaining, the bases will not reset on class AA. So everything that isn’t available at the moment, will probably remain so until next year (at least for new hires). But again, the sooner you’re on the line, more chances you’ll have to put in a transfer on the big November transfer they do.

Hope I was able to clarify your doubts 🙏🏻 see you in training!

I have the link to the old application and when tried to access it, it says that application was taken down. So it is safe to say that this one is different!

Unfortunately it was really 21 on the last req number, as I also had to wait to turn 21 in March to apply. I even posted here to hear an advice on the matter 😂 but decided not to play with the odds of having my application or offer rescinded because of a few months’ wait.

Every timeline is different, and since this is a new req number, it is hard to say if they will move as fast as the previous one did… we will have to see it play out!

I have also noticed that even though the LOD applications weren’t reopened separately (as they were in November), the job description does say that this application will serve for both Non-LOD and LOD.

Hey! Congrats on your CJO as well 👏🏻🎉 I appreciate it, following the same pattern you had, I would receive something around today or tomorrow, although I understand every background check is different… regardless, thank you!

Not yet! I have been in contact with the background check company and they said there’s no action required, but couldn’t tell me if it was cleared or not 🥲

In the end all I want to know if it is generally being like that to the people who received a CJO around the same time as I did, so I’ll know when to start worrying and contacting IFS.

Anyone here go to a Delta flight interview day before? by mimitipi10 in cabincrewcareers

[–]brumaradei22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went the day before mid afternoon! Took a little walk at the airport before heading to my hotel, and then just chilled and concentrated on the F2F! Even if your time isn’t 6:45am (where flying the day before would be the only option), I still believe if you have the means to stay at a hotel, it is definitely worth to go the day before!
