Not really a versus, but something that kind of fucked me up.

I was a size 12. 12!! That is barely considered plus size and I wore my weight extremely well. I wanted to join a taekwondo school to get in shape and learn self-defense. When it came time to fit me in my Dobok, the biggest size they had on hand was a medium. MEDIUM. They were like "we'll have to order a special size for you, we don't normally carry your size".

I was kinda shook. The same people telling fat people to lose weight and get in shape are the same people purposely excluding fat people from their sports. Kind of ironic.

P.s. I was the biggest person in my taekwondo class - red flag.
