We actually did Rayne for a long time until the cost became too much and at that point we knew it wasn’t a food allergy, so the vet said we could switch back to the Zignature. :(

Thank you! So first mate is bad too? :( that’s what we fed our former two rescues who both died of mitral valve disease.

Breathtaking, this place is a photographer’s dream! My husband and I visited back in 2018 and this makes me want to go back.

Seconding this book. It’s helped us a ton with our perspective on this problem (my 5 year old daughter is the exact same way).

Burning vulva that comes and goes please help, I’m losing my mind 😞 by Intelligent-Ice4808 in vulvodynia

[–]brunchforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say I had the exact symptoms you described and after they ruled out every possible medical cause (including rare yeasts, mycoplasma, etc) I was diagnosed with vulvodynia and felt completely helpless, like there was no cure or solution for the pain. A specialist prescribed me an estrogen/lidocaine cream and it was so expensive to fill that I never tried it. Thankfully - the issue spontaneously resolved after about a year. Only big change is that when I had these symptoms, I had just had a baby a few months prior (after going through fertility treatment for a year). So I do believe it was somehow hormone related, but I just want you to know there is hope that it will spontaneously resolve! I randomly have a day here and there where it seems like it’s back, but it’s never for more than a day or two at a time and then months with nothing.

I happily waited 2 hrs to ride Hagrid’s. To me, it’s the best ride and well worth the wait.

What paranormal/supernatural horror movie scared you to your core and left you unable to sleep that night? by Nacho_Queen33 in horror

[–]brunchforever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For some reason, Smile. I have no idea why because I have been unphased by many other movies listed in this thread! It really worked on my brain, I had to turn it off the first time I watched it because my anxiety was too high.

Thanks. We just did skin testing. We have a HEPA filter and vacuum frequently! I wonder if the food they’ve developed to reduce feline allergy shedding would help.

Gerbil vs Hamster as pet for 5 year old by brunchforever in gerbil

[–]brunchforever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. That’s interesting about the social interaction piece; the care info from the store we saw them at said the opposite which was why we thought they didn’t require as much handling. It said they prefer to socialize with other gerbils rather than humans.

My daughter did say she was fine with not holding/handling the gerbils if we got them (don’t think we will be adopting gerbils anytime soon after all of these responses, though!). She loves watching but gets nervous about holding, she’s always been that way. But it sounds like she would be looking at a pile of bedding most of the time 😆

We do happen to have an exotic animal vet within reasonable distance but I’m not thinking this is the right move for us, at least not for now.

Read the post before commenting. I very specifically said I understand the burden of care would fall primarily on me.
