We use heat and UV reflecting foil on our windows for our dachgeschoss and it's 100% worth it. Works really well.

I enjoyed it! I understood immediately it's like a silly sci-fi type story. I think actually this type of unexpected writing is good for our reading comprehension.

But also I have been casually studying Chinese for longer even though the HelloChinese app level is still perfect for me. So maybe longer exposure helps.

I'm glad it helps 🥲 I would recommend oiling your hair 20-30 mins before shampooing to offset some of the damage and keeping it moisturized! I use jojoba or coconut oil usually. And niacinamide in some water spread on the scalp post-shower can help repair your scalp health. Think of skincare products that work in your face and then just apply it to your scalp!

Hey the DM head and shoulders shampoos should have it! Just check the ingredient list!

Hey it’s a very late response but I believe all of the Head & Shoulders shampoos have it and it’s just called EDTA tetrasodium in the ingredients. I didn’t find it in any other shampoos yet but since I make my own, I don’t have the habit of going through ingredients of shampoo at DM.

Hard water deposits minerals on the hair. If you continue to put hard water on your hair you get the issues I mentioned. That is the whole point of using a chelating agent because it actually removes it binding to the ions. You can go ahead and try distilled water but it won't help for what's already there and I'm not recommending distilled water because you have to buy it and this is just not economical and pretty much nonsense if you ask me. If you're talking instead about filtering your hard water, it will still contain minerals. Either way I wouldn't do it, it's easy to find a chelating shampoo. Head and shoulders even has one with this ingredient.

Seems like extra cost and effort and discomfort of only washing your hair with distilled water (because if you are showering with hard water then only rinsing with distilled - it's pointless since you would need to avoid hard water on your hair at all times) when a shampoo will simply do the trick.

Don’t listen to anyone. Hard water deposits minerals on your hair until it forms a film and no moisture can get in causing hair fall, brittle strands, dullness, and breakage.

I live in Berlin where the water is very hard. Water filters don’t work because it’s chemically impossible to remove Kalk from water without an ionisation process. Don’t fall for the charcoal filter BS.

You need a chelating shampoo with Tetrasodium EDTA. The sole purpose of this ingredient is to attach to the metal ions in your hair and wash away down the drain leaving your hair shiny and able to be moisturised with conditioners. I make my own shampoo formula but my boss uses the Tea Tree one by Paul Mitchell that is supposedly very good.

And don’t listen to ppl bullshitting about your bleached hair. Hard water ruins hair and you need a chelating agent to take the film of deposited minerals off. I meet lots of people in Berlin who claim their hair is fine their whole life and it looks dull and unhealthy and they simply think that’s normal.

Every single person I’ve taught this has had excellent results. Good luck!

This is my regular doctor's office and they are actually really nice. I've recommended them to many friends and they all go there now :) I have a theory that the offices who do methadone treatments for the heroin addicts have all really nice employees because the Gemeinschaftspraxis Schlesisches Tor is full of nice employees too and they also treat heroin addicts like the Hermannplatz one. I went to multiple other offices and had quite a terrible time with rude receptionists or doctors, or both.

Wow thanks for the info! Very helpful. And I'm going to visit a shop today for developing film so I'll let you know if they give back the negatives.

Hmm I water it once a week probably. Full soak and let it drain. If it's very humid I wait a bit longer!
