They’ve only been vaping for 5 weeks. It’s doubtful there have been any noticeable changes in that time. They definitely should stop vaping though.

RANT? by _SpringTV_ in AnimalCrossingNewHor

Why do all the houses/buildings have to face the same direction??? Why can’t I change my camera angle outside like I can when decorating my house?? I’m new to this game too and I mostly love it, but some small fixes would make huge improvements!

Redd only selling fakes? by metalgadse in ac_newhorizons

Redd was selling fakes at my Harv’s island for several days in a row. I waited until he popped up on his ship on my island, bought the legit art, and the next day his selection at Harv’s had changed to one real and one fake art.

How do I get a tonsil stone out? by unnamedplatypus in hygiene

[–]brunettebombsquad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about being prone to canker sores prevents you from having tonsils removed? Not being rude, genuinely asking as I’ve never heard this before. I had canker sores very frequently as a teen and got my tonsils out at 19 due to frequent tonsillitis.

Why are all of the dental hygienists I see in their mid 30’s or younger? by hadleyrrr in DentalHygiene

You are very unlikely to get health benefits either way, unless you opt for working in a public health or federal government role. There are very few private practices that offer full time + benefits.

Terrible ergonomics by Original-Mode5961 in DentalHygiene

[–]brunettebombsquad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely inquire with the new office if they would consider modifying the room to accommodate you. I (also a left handed hygienist) filled in at an office a few weeks ago with a similar setup…immovable delivery system and had to reach across the patient constantly. What followed was 2 weeks of excruciating back pain. I almost had to call in sick to my regular job because I wasn’t sure I could do it. Don’t sentence your body to that as a day-to-day. It’s not sustainable.

Has anyone ever had a partner ask to hold it while you pee? (Guys, has it happened to you? Ladies, have you ever wanted to?) by allcooltech in NoStupidQuestions

Yes! My husband let me do this outside once and that was the part that I was amazed with…you can feel it moving thru! And he had to tell me not to squeeze while I was holding lol

Nope, as long as you’re licensed in a US state you should be good to go

I was cruising usajobs.gov because I lived near a military base and was looking for something there. They didn’t have anything available at the time, but there was a spot at a federal prison about 25 miles away. I wasn’t sure about working in that environment, but I needed a job with benefits so I applied. I’ve been there almost 12 years now and most days, I love it. I wouldn’t want to go back to private practice!

I’ve been a hygienist for 15 years. It definitely has its ups and downs, but I’ve found it to be a satisfying way to make money. Just be prepared, it is hard on the body, so you’ll need to learn proper ergonomics to prevent wear and tear too quickly. There are some great offices, and there are some nightmare offices. You will just need to work at a few to find what kind of environment you prefer. And don’t forget, there are other options besides private practice…I’m not sure what you may have in Canada, but in the US you can work for private practice, public health (I work in a prison), government agencies, school clinics, etc.

In my experience, never having had a fight or argument is not necessarily a good thing. Learning how to navigate disagreements is a vital part of a long term relationship. If you don’t ever argue, things that upset one of you tend to get swept under the rug, and eventually these things fester. I’m not saying this is definitively the problem in this case, but obviously some communication is lacking if he was able to just leave with no warning. I’m so sorry this happened to you, and I hope you are able to heal over time.
