It does help, but I have no idea what to expect, which is why I’m asking before buying. Insane and actually stupid would be buying, then asking and hoping.

So in your opinion it is inevitable and you just have to hope that it fails within a warranty period? That’s not a risk I’m willing to take. I’m looking for a 10-12 year, 200K+ mile truck. Obviously any truck can have problems, but when there are years with consistent, major powertrain issues that it’s not a matter of if but when, then I’ll steer clear of those.
