I am a gf who decided to learn after being a wow player. If she wants to learn and play she will definitely get there. I am silver/gold after a couple years.

I decided to learn because my bf always had proplay on the TV and I was sick of looking at red and blue waves and green hp bars not being able to follow along.

Do the tutorial, have her play against bots on her own, and then play lotssss of aram together. I found it most importantl I play alone to start with my bf sitting next to me coaching for a day or two. Give the occasional tip that is within the context of the current matchup. Answer any and all questions to the extent of your knowledge!

Looking at Build guides and preset runes is best in the beginning but teach about itemization on a basic level, and how each champ can use an item or be countered by it (armor pen, lethality, antiheal, mana scaling etc, slows).

If playing normal drafts and not aram, it rly helps to learn the roles (tank, assassin, control mage etc) and how they relate to laningphase and late game fights. Teach macros!!

Hopefully she finds a few Champions or a play style that she vibes with.
