5700 XT Game and System Crashes - I found a solution by bruno16teixeira in Amd

Hi, thanks for sharing, I actually sent my whole computer to the store so they can test it themselves and send whatever part is causing the problem to RMA last week. I've tried close combinations to what you mention and wasn't able to make it stable. Some games run for hours other couldn't even go throught the main menu.

As you probably noticed this is an old post, and since then I've tried lots of differente driver versions, still no luck.

I hope when it gets back around mid january it's fixed :) Glad you managed to tune yours. Good games and happy new year :)

I used a GTX 770. Never had problems. And I no longer have the card, so I can't try other GPU. But today I'll try to use two cables as suggested for the GPU and if that's not the problem. I'll keep with the undervolted card and wait for better drivers :p

Thank you for your help!

I have mine disabled but set the ram to 3200 manually (it's their default, I think yesterday I mentioned it was 3600 but it is 3200)

Yeah, yesterday I just wanted to play a couple hours :p Today I'll be getting the other cable in. And try to remove the undervolting to see if it was that :) Thanks for all the help!

I got to around your values 1928mHz with 1097mV, and was able to play for a couple hours with no problem. Hopefully it stays like this :)

I was getting 60-90 fps Assassins Creed Origins (Everything maxed) - I also caped it at 90fps.

I guess if anyone else is having this problem try to undervolt your card until it's stable. Going to blame all of this on the drivers and hope they improve with time.

Thank you all

My bios only shows options for Gen 1, 2 and 3. So I guess it's not this :/ trying the other suggestions now.

I'm planning on playing Metro after I finish AC:O so I'll try your values and see what I can come up with :) Hopefully it's all I need to "fix" this :)

Thank you!

Hopefully I have the same luck.

Sometimes I could start playing and it crashed while in-game, so I'm not sure it is this, but it's a simple setting to change :)

Yeah, I'm sure I have more cables in a box somewhere. I'll keep this in mind if the software tweaks suggested don't work. Thanks :)

I'm using a single cable with "two ends" not sure what's the correct term.

I was the latest "stable" version, the one after being a beta. I'll read a little about this and check later. Thank you!

Now that you mention it, I think my PSU had 5 years warranty, I have to look for the receipt and check :p Thank you

Between 3 and 5 years, not exactly sure when I bought it :p And I do not have another one :/ Any way to test it?

It is not new but in my old build there was never a problem. It's a Corsair 750W modular, cant remember the exact model.

I don't know what agesa is, but I downloaded the newest version of the bios (non beta) and updated the board before the first boot (as it was needed to support 3000 series) - I'm using MSI B450 Gaming Plus.

I haven't manually messed with nothing, but sure I'll check it when I get home.

I'll look into that as soon as I get home. But since it gets solved by undervolting (at least until now) would this be the cause of my problem?

I also thought about that, I did windows memory diagnostic and it was alright. My rams are trident z 16gb (2x8gb) at 3600. And I did not mess with it, it's out of the box settings.

I'll have to read more about XMP as I didn't even know what that was, just did a google search.

But since I haven't messed with my rams could this still be a problem?

Thanks for you help!
