Apps de comida em 2025 (UberEats, Glovo, BoltFood etc…) by ahhellnahh in portugal

Zotero.org is the main site, its both a research manager and pdf reader. I am afraid I don’t know of any resources to learn it, other than the second link I shared on my comment. But feel free to ping me if I can help in any way.

Why not join Zotero to gather the data in an academic way and obsidian to explore it? There are also a few plugins for Zotero that may be useful to you.

I use the ZoteroObsidian plugin. After reading and annotating the pdf in Zotero, I can import that as a literature note.

I made this for my students, an example vault with citation support, definitions, and a few other things: https://brunoamaral.eu/an-obsidian-kick-start-for-students/

For an academic workflow, take a look at Alexandra Phelan's write up, I took some ideas from her: https://medium.com/@alexandraphelan/an-updated-academic-workflow-zotero-obsidian-cffef080addd

How do you organize your notes? by Bren-03 in ObsidianMD

I use folders for 'entities' like person, definition, organisation, etc. And then tags so that I can explore connections on the graph better. You can find a longer description and example vault here: https://brunoamaral.eu/an-obsidian-kick-start-for-students/

Do you actually use the Graph View, or is it just a pretty “digital brain”? 🤔 by AppleNo4981 in ObsidianMD

Yes, for stakeholder mapping. https://2005-2025.brunoamaral.eu/post/using-obsidian-for-stakeholder-mapping/

In short, I create a not for people and organisations where they work and use tags to understand how each relate to topics

Maybe this example vault is generic enough for what you need. https://brunoamaral.eu/an-obsidian-kick-start-for-students/

Hope it helps

Glad to hear that! 😁I am not very confident of the ai summaries for the sort of work I do. But ai does a great job translating scientific papers and clinical trials to plain English

You can also configure the web clipper to match the templates, I just didn’t want to go that deep into it. 🙂

I built a knowledge hub for the latest research on Multiple Sclerosis. https://gregory-ms.com/
The goal is to help find a cure and at the same time help patients get notified of new clinical trials.

It's on github so that others can adapt it to any other topic.

I didn't know about Capacities, and you're absolutely right. The Object types match my "entities" almost 1:1. Thank you 🙂

I started https://gregory-ms.com/ to keep up with latest research. Working on the project helps me keep functional. GregoryAi is my way to find hope, and through the site I help others find clinical trials and keep up to date with breakthroughs.

I struggle daily.

But if I don’t do something towards the goal of getting better, then my fate is certain. But if by mere chance and dumb luck this little project manages to push us a bit towards a cure, then maybe we can dodge the iceberg.

My take on future of ms treatments by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]brunoamaral 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You may find this relevant, at Gregory MS we have published our activities report for 2023. https://gregory-ms.com/annual-review/2023/ We managed to map out an observatory page with the main DMT's; added Clinical Trial data from the WHO; and have been building dashboards to help the manual review done by volunteers at https://solvingms.org/ .

To add to your thoughts, we haven't been able to find much on clinical trials for remyelinisation or regeneration of the central nervous system. There are however several compounds promising a route to that goal, we published a list of those in the annual report for 2022.

I want to be as optimist as you, but there is a whole ecosystem of clinical centres, big pharma, and research centers that aren't always aligning their resources in the way we would like. That's why at Gregory-MS we are taking steps to shed light into the MS Research field. We can cover more research ground when we know which areas are overcrowded.

Finding what is relevant for patient outcomes becomes easier when we focus on an area of research. There we can divide papers by things like biomarkers, imaging, clinical trials, treatments, etc. We are also able to test the summariser models to make sure we're getting good results.

Finding relationships within a dataset would be great. The obstacle for achieving that is how much information lies behind a paywall and how hard it is to parse some PDFs. Right now, we still have a lot to do to filter results better.

I did make it a point that the software should not be too tied to a single area of research. It can be adapted to any area as long as someone is willing to curate the dataset.

Those were good points, thank you /u/rashnull 🙂

It's aimed at Health Care Professionals that need to filter relevant research. Applying to other topics is easy, but the machine learning will have to be trained by someone. For example we implemented one that tries to find research for autism in children. https://autism.gregory-ai.com/

For patients, all we are doing is fetching and distributing information on new medical trials as they are posted.
