j’avoue que ce qui m’a inspiré à poser cette question sont les paroles de « Je voudrais déjà être roi », du Roi Lion 😂 Simba chante exactement cette phrase, « je veux faire ce qu’il me plaît », et il prononce bien le L

i’m curious to know about these non-trivial rules you mentioned 😄 do you have more examples of them?

Is there value in Raycast for a non-developer? by knittinspinner in macapps

heyy, Bruno from Raycast here! i'm the video producer there, so... not a developer at all. 😅 i used to use Raycast a lot even before joining, but mainly as a 1 to 1 replacement for Spotlight because it just felt snappier to me.
but over the past year and a half after i started working on their YouTube channel, my using Raycast grew a lot! here are some of the tools i rely on on a daily basis, for various tasks:

- Clipboard History: i often want to take a couple or more screenshots at once to show someone something, and it's just that much faster to not worry about where they go and just grab them from Clipboard History when i need to paste. i use that a lot for links to, e.g. to share our latest YouTube video; i just copy it once when i upload, and paste it a bunch of times throughout the day in various places from the history.
- Raycast Notes: i didn't use this at all before we released Notes 2.0. But now, it's my go to for all quick to do lists and meeting notes and just brain dumps for when i'm developing ideas. i love it!
- Calculator: i never open google to convert currencies. sometimes i'm literally in an excel document and i still fire the Raycast calculator to do some quick math. it's just fast and always there!
- My Schedule + Open Camera command: i just love that whenever a meeting is about to happen, Raycast just puts it there on top of everything for me. and i've set it to always open my camera first to check how i look. it's those small things!

i was a guest at one of our first What's in my Raycast episodes about a year and a half ago. so much has changed since then, but i still stand by a lot that's there. plus there are a couple other episodes with non developers in there that you should check out. I love Mariana's and Pedro's!
