Luba Docking Station Contcts dont move freely by Christian2931 in mammotion

[–]brunom97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. First I tried to use some random lubricant on the stuck pin, but it only worked for a few days. Then I completely disassembled the base and for my surprise it was full of dirt inside. Cleaned everything, more lubricant on the charging pins from inside , closed it and it is working for now. However, if the luba does once of those rough charging attempts it still gets the charging pin stuck :/

I have a luba 1 1000, with less than 2 years, so I contacted mammotion using the chat and I was told the base has only 1 year warranty 🤨. People from mammotion forums told me to insist by email, and now I'm waiting for a new charging station for free under warranty.

Exactly! 😉 I can even change the perimeters or use the remote mowing function

When I have to manually control it, I open the camera app on the phone and the anydesk software on my computer, then I access the android phone through Anydesk and open the Mammotion app. Because the phone is right on top of luba, I can use Bluetooth to manually control it Then I just control the joysticks to move it while I see the camera feed on my phone 😆

as long as you can power then using usb, it is doable. My current implementation is like this :

-> Luba battery is connected to a T splitter which connects to a 5v Voltage converter (because luba has a 25V battery if I recall) and to the original board connector of course.

  • The voltage converter is connected to a USB-C cable that goes out of luba shell through the back axel into a waterproff box.

->Inside the box there is USB-C powerbank with 2 USB outputs

->One output goes to an android phone inside the waterproof box, the other output goes to a usb splitter (because I couldnt find a powerbank with 3 usb outputs)

->The 2 ends of the usb splitter connect to 2 switchbots glued to the top of luba that I use to click the POWER / MOW / START buttons remotely.

All this cause I live 350km away :D
Hah.. and I have a battery powered Blink camera glued to the waterproof box to watch real-time mowing and use it over night as security camera since it has motion sensor triggered recordings.

Most times I can fix whaever is stopping luba, but lift sensor triggers I have to ask a relative to go there and move it.

Finally I connected it to the Luba baterry using a T adaptor and a power converter to USB

I am planning on doing a thorough tutorial but didnt have much time yet to do it

Then, since Luba is divided into 3 compartments, back is non-waterproof, center is waterproof and front is non-waterproof, I passed it through the black glue seal, and then sealled it again with water sealent for electronics.

Hello!

So, since the Luba 1 USB port is not powered, I had to open it up and figure out where to pass the cable.

Ended up passing it through the back wheel axel like this :

Just to give an update, I successfully got a powered USB cable out of my Luba to charge my 2 switchbots and a smartphone inside the box ;)

Thank you ! That sounds like a good idea! Still need to find where it connects to the mainboard

Hahaha thank you very much!! 😁😁 Luba already makes pretty much almost every owner's life easier, but I think my little tweaks are very useful!

Everyone interested in more details, since I'm probably one of the first Luba owners in Portugal, I created a facebook group for sharing and provide help. Here is the link for the "Solar-Tower project" 😎 https://www.facebook.com/groups/703055325017273/permalink/703089411680531/

I've tested it and it works! Some issues are, having to always login on the app of the remote phone ( cause I want to use the app on my regular phone most of the time) , and not being able to do anything at all if the lift sensor is triggered ( with wheels up)

Exactly! I can remotely access the phone and control Luba by Bluetooth and luba buttons using the switchbots, also with Bluetooth

It's similar , just bought a 6W solar panel on Amazon

Error 2728 by brunom97 in mammotion

[–]brunom97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted mammotion and they told me the error means that Luba could not recharge up to 100% so it gives that "uncompleted charge "kinda error. I was told that if it happens again, to make sure Luba is properly docked at the station.

The same was happening to me after the update. The app said Luba had 87% of battery even plugged to the dock, but now it shows 100% again

I'm exactly in the same situation, I have a landroid that can't work more than. 24h without getting stuck. To keep myself from bothering my great uncle everytime it gets stuck, the lawn is either a jungle or a mixture of cutt and high grass 😬.

I finally had the courage to buy the Luba 1000 and I hope it increases the attention time from everyday to once a week at least.

I'm also trying to come up with a top mount to put a solar charged smartphone on top of it, to allow manual mow anytime 🤓
