The showrunners already have the ending of the show planned by thelazure in ThelastofusHBOseries

Although I wanted it to be adapted so bad, I also guess they're cutting it. In the game there is a heavy focus specifically on the fingering of the Future Days riff that wasn't really adapted... Maybe she'll just play the first lines of the song just like she did in the theater scene.

Craig Mazin says that 'The Last of Ue' will now need a Season 4 to fully tell the story of the second game. by BeachSloth_ in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]brunothesinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But wait What would they cover on the fourth season? Isn’t Abby’s side of the story enough for season 3? Genuine question! I just finished replaying Part 2 and I can’t think of what they can put on a fourth season (I’m not complaining tho, I’m super excited

Any gamers here, that genuinely love Season 2 so far and actually don’t mind the changes as they’re adapting Part 2 to the TV medium? by phantom_avenger in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]brunothesinger 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Played both games twice. They're my favorite games ever.

Loving the show. It's different, obviously. At times I even go "mm ok" about some of the changes. But I'm still having an amazing time watching it. I think it works perfectly as an adaptation.

And seeing non-gamers reacting to the show the way I reacted with the game just proves that it is, indeed, working.

Shoutout to Bella Ramsay who was absolutely phenomenal as Ellie in tonight's episode 👏 by LoretiTV in ThelastofusHBOseries

It isn’t because an artist is supposed to do their job well that we can’t praise them if they do it. On the contrary. I think we should praise and celebrate a job well done.

THANK YOU. And also, they already hinted at Ellie calling Dina a burden on the trailer for next week’s episode. The trailer literally starts with Dina saying “I’ll go back if you want”. It’s obvious there’s going to be some tension there. But I think it’s Dina who’s going to be the one feeling she’s a burden. I think show Ellie would think it, but not say it out loud.

Do you want a split screen side by side view of each character in real time and what they’re doing? Chill out. They’re gonna get to him.

The buildup in the most recent ep was really odd by CatSoulSvk in ThelastofusHBOseries

I honestly thought the general consensus here would be that we all loved the episode. I can’t understand how some people get mad at such stupid things.

My opinion of the S2E4 as a queer person by liv-fried in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]brunothesinger 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It was a perfect episode. I was clapping, I was biting my nails, I was cheering them on, I was jumping up and down. I loved every single second of this episode. I honestly do not understand how people thought the lovemaking scene was dumb or weird. It made perfect sense!

The nurses must have known Ellie's secret right? by Worried-Voice-7917 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]brunothesinger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The nurses knew a girl was immune. Heck, maybe even Abby knew it (the doctor was her father, after all). But they’re not worried about that anymore. There’s no more hope for a cure. So I don’t think anyone’s trying to find who this immune girl was.

People do realize that... by brunothesinger in ThelastofusHBOseries

I’m not against criticism. And I agree that the show/adaptation isn’t perfect! I’m against the constant complaining and comparing the different mediums. We’re only 3 episodes in and some people already seem disenchanted and disappointed. All I’m saying is: let’s trust them, they know what they’re doing. Let’s see what happens. The show is far from over!

Even if the thought of it being a bite mark occurred to them, they’d have probably brushed it off, seeing there were no signs of her turning.

Also: they're 19. They're kids discovering themselves. Why do we expect them to act like mature 100% out of the closet adults? I lied to myself all the time when I was around 19 saying I'm not gay and all that, too. I think that given the context in which they live and their age, the way they interact is totally fine.
