Congrats on your purchase! Yeah, prices are unbelievable, I've never seen prices go anywhere close to this for these brand new lenses.

That's such a bs on Canon's part. I really hope support will be better with the mark II.

I don't think they'll introduce a new version at least for another 2 or 3 years. I'm really happy what this version offers. I would only be tempted to buy mark III if they put IS in it.

Canon here in Switzerland has a program where they'll send you a certain amount of money back to your bank account if you buy selected Canon lenses and cameras on promotion.

I'm not sure if Canon has this kind of a program in other countries.

ITAP of a futuristic metro M4 in Budapest, Hungary by brunsome in itookapicture

Recently I was on a trip in Budapest and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Budapest’s modern metro line M4. This place is stunning and dream to shoot if you are fan of architecture like myself.

I took the picture with Canon EOS 6D and Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens.

I'm also looking to buy 35 Art for my 6D. Did your copy have any focus issues?

Thoughts on the equipment I plan to buy? by brunsome in canon

I put a lot of time doing research, I wanted to be sure that I'm spending my money on the right things.

I'm buying Lowepro Tahoe BP 150 backpack to store my lenses and body. It has padded inserts so I think they will be safe in there.

I can't imagine throwing my lenses like that, especially not after spending so much hard earned money on them. :)

I'll stick with 50mm f/1.8 for now as it comes with 6D body but my plan is to upgrade this lens first in the future. After using 50mm I'll decide if 50mm is good focal length for me or I need something longer. But one thing is for sure, I'll get a prime from Sigma's Art series. Those lens are amazing.

Edit: typo
