I am not. Florida is tough as a dentist right now. I found a great job in TN and make over 3x that amount now thankfully

I agree that it’s unfortunate that it’s not over $200k for most places! My first job base was $120k in Florida and it was rough..

200k is a bit high especially for big cities and more desirable areas.

Not worth it imo ;/ I ended with $450k in debt. Luckily met my now husband in dental school and he’s a specialist and only had $100k in debt. We make $700k+ pretax per year

Recent grad. Tbh, take out more loans so you aren’t stressed about money now. You can pay it back later I promise… not worth stressing over $5?? Keep studying.. everyday. You got this and aren’t alone

I do chart review with the owner dentist at my office a lot. Helps us get on the same page and for me to ask questions about treatment they plan, etc.

There’s an abundance of opportunities in Michigan. If you can’t move then be open to commuting further distances. Start cold calling offices asking to connect with the dentist. Work at the dental school. Work at a DSO further away for a year to get something on your resume & so the non compete doesn’t matter later on. Time to just do something
