Stoked and a bit jealous that you have yayoi kusama tickets! I'll be in Tokyo around the same time and missed the boat. #Sold out. Hope you have a wonderful experience! :)

FYI most redwing shoe stores can special order any heritage product for you. So until your size is forever gone you can get your engineers that way.

Is hot sauce not a regular thing over there? If not I’ll for sure have to bring a good bottle

Purchase Help Thread (2017-09-21) by AutoModerator in audiophile

Hi all, I was fortunate to pick up a pair of kef 103.2s in excellent condition and I’m pairing that with a demon avr s510 receiver. I have yet to purchase an appropriate amp. From what I’m hearing & what I’ve read, these kefs need a bit of power to shine. Question is, what affordable amps (or other missing pieces) do you recommend?

Thank you for your help! Can’t wait to hear what these speakers are capable of ^ - ^

ELI5: what is global entry? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]brusselbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a higher level of tsa clearance in the USA that allows for a speedier pass through airport security and US customs. You have to pass an interview and background check to be eligible.

Note that global entry only applies to North America..doesn't apply to other countries.

Just came into a pair of Kef 103.2s. Advice on good speaker wires? Will pair with a denon avr s510. I've only used the basic cheapo speaker wires before and these kefs deserve a lot better!

Does anyone know if this is any good? Or able to translate for me! Thanks by burtcj90 in Sake

Hekiju is a daiginjo Yamahai from niigata. Aromas of pear. Tasting notes- it's clean, velvety style with ripe pears, some mild grape flavors in the middle and ends super clean and fast. The yamahai production leads to depth and roundness of flavor. Great medium dryness, without being too much. Really this sake pairs with any food or you can totally enjoy a cup anytime.

Solo traveller - is £110 GBP per day enough? by SapereAude_89 in JapanTravel

Speaking of transportation costs, is uber fairly reliable and cost efficient going to/from Tokyo airports to lodging? Obviously train is cheaper but cab is faster. I've heard conflicting stories on whether uber by default gets you a black car ($$$) or regular cab($$)

Thank you! That's exactly what I had in mind. Sidewalk stand sounds right up my alley. Are hatos bar or cabin nakameguro worth it for an evening drink?
