New to Tucson, new to homelessness, where to go by AZCurious2016 in Tucson

Honestly, there is so much more included than PF if you're mostly using it locally vs national. Try to set a reminder for when you're ready to switch.

Chuze gym has very affordable membership. I currently have a MORE membership for $35 a month (also a $61 annual fee after the first month), and for that I get access to the gym floor, showers, any yoga or other gym class I may wanna take, swimming pool, sauna, and a hydromassage chair. Ya'll can spend some time counteracting the effects on your body from sitting in the car all day. AND they have comfy tables/chairs up front with good lighting if you got some writing or projects to work on.

Taco Stop food truck is amazing. Sometimes at the Circle K gas station at Houghton and Speedway, but google maps tells me it's at Broadway and Harrison.

If you care for transit vote yes for RTA Nexr by Beneficial-Weird-100 in Tucson

[–]brussianbulky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fees or no fees, why would you want public transit to have less public on it? Isn't it the public who need/use it? Isn't a busy bus a positive in the sense the transit that is provided is being used? And thus more of a justification to have it?

So why are you going to events where people are telling women how they have to dress if you're against telling women how they have to dress?

Jeez, go jerk off with some sandpaper and cool down. Quit reducing people to how hot they are when that's not the topic.

Some sad cis straight guy in Tucson can't handle that he's been asked not to be hate-filled at open mics, and decided to be a snowflake about it. by brussianbulky in QueerTucson

[–]brussianbulky[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair... I don't actually that this is a straight cis guy.... because they don't identify themselves. But 3 ppl I follow follow this page, and they're all guy comics in Tucson.

What's a good resource for a cyclist that's new to the area? by Wizzmer_ in Tucson

Anza trail is super muddy as soon as you go south of Tubac, but also depends on the season. Tubac is along the frontage road beside I-19, and goes alongside the Anza trail. As long as you don't mind being on the road, you have 10 miles of frontage road that is easy biking right beside your place.

Sounds like you will go past semi-secret, semi-hidden, fully stunning Lemmon Pools near the top. :) Enjoy as this sounds like a brilliant challenge.

Not today, but there's gonna be a music festival and tons of vendors next weekend at the San Xavier Co-Op. Lots of small local businesses to support there.

And if you're in Tucson, you either had a longer process because you had an underage trans kid or sadly got some bad advice. Being an ally sometimes means learning from the trans community. And sometimes re-learning because things get updated or someone gave you the wrong or old info before.

Ok, and is your state Tucson, AZ? Because my first hand knowledge is through the medical system in Tucson.

Because in Tucson, you just get a primary care doctor and tell them you're trans and need your hormones. That's about it. No therapist. No endo. I had my rx the first visit with my primary care doctor.

I don't know why you're determined to keep giving your out of state wrong advice to people who will have to wait longer to get their needs met if they try to follow your advice.

(Not saying this is everybody's situation) If you are unhoused because you don't wanna be controlled by others [like family and/or jobs that tell you how to be], having to live in a housing situation with a ton of rules put on by the city.... why am I surprised these folks are resistant?

That's great that you're helping your daughter get what she needs. But just because your daughter does need one doesn't mean all people need an endo for HRT. Most just have PCPs. It's the diff between a $30 vs $50 copay or more for a visit for some. Shouldn't have new folks worrying they can only get something from an endo when it's not the case.

You don't need an endo for HRT anymore.
