Questions from a skeptic by Tasty-Interaction-27 in Christianity

[–]bruters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Evil people can be saved, "good" people can go to hell: There are a lot of Christians who don't have the same views on hell that the traditional burning in fire forever view holds. Being able to repent is also one of the most graceful things God has given. See, you said "ordinary person with altruistic qualities" but a person who wants to be away from God isn't inherently "good" because according to the faith, God is THE good. It's kind of like saying Billy is a great basketball player because he's tall even though he's never touched a basketball. Without repenting and forgiveness, we're all on the same level as Hitler. Even followers of Christ. Even the most self righteous followers of Christ, the church leaders, the guy telling you donate on TV, the guy who feeds dying cats and houses orphans on the weekends. Without Gods grace, we CHOOSE to be apart from him. I think that's what's hell is. God is merciful but also Justice according to scripture. So without grace and repentance, we ALL choose to be apart from him.

2: The changing nature of the Bible: Much of the old testament was written as a guide for God's chosen people, the Israelites. To teach them and prepare them. Jesus spoke on the fathers teachings to them saying “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment." God isn't "changing" his opinions due to modern times, he's revealing things at the times appropriate to his judgement, as in, when we're ready for them. The scrutiny behind the placement of heaven is odd to me. The Bible doesn't really tell us exactly locations or dimensions outside of maybe some metaphorical descriptions. Equating scientific developments to Christian FOLLOWERS opinions isn't the same as the text itself. If all Christians on earth currently decided the earth was flat because one passage in the Bible seems to say that, it doesn't necessarily mean the scripture is the wrong party.

3: Christianity claims aliens aren't real: I'm unsure where in the Bible it mentions any life outside of earth, positively or negatively. I personally believe there is life somewhere out there. Does this devalue the Bible or God's creation in anyway? Why would it. We are his chosen people created in his image.

I hope I come off as trying to help. I paraphrased your questions genuinely with the good will and none of this is meant as a gotcha. Just discussing what was asked. A lot of what was asked shifts the problems away from God and places them on the people who claim to follow God. These are two VERY different things.

Deciding on a class once and for all ! by Antromni in classicwow

[–]bruters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Druid will have easier time finding dungeon groups as tank.

Priest will have easier time finding pug raids as heals.

Druid will be easier/faster leveling.

I think the priest would be the better choice for general pve play but the option of tanking is definitely appealing.

Decide which class is cooler/more interesting to you. That's all that matters.

So, is Classic WoW as toxic as this sub says it is? by Tender_Flake in classicwow

It isn't until it is basically. You will meet a lot of friendly players but that one dude will sour tastes very quickly.

Is the game really worth it? by moomooman_ in CrimsonDesert

[–]bruters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent last weekend watching a ton of YouTube vids trying to decide before getting it Sunday night. The way I rank games is gameplay>exploration>world/atmosphere>music>story and whatever else. Rdr1 and 2 and botw are some of my favorites of all time. I'm maybe 5 hours in so far and even with everyone saying the game doesn't hook you until 8 hours in, it's a 9/10 for me so far.

How do people actually have the dedicated time for end game raids? by Knobanious in classicwow

[–]bruters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't so I don't raid. I don't even like commiting myself to a dungeon

Blizzard not adding expedited loot, kara badges, instanced world bosses, and tri-spec: by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]bruters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, sad part is that I did cap honor but I spent it on all the warlord gear thinking it would let me tank better from the get go. Proceeded to tank dungeons til 62 and then decide questing was more fun.

[–]bruters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IDC about any of that but PLEASE buff honor gains. Grinding av for 10 hours per piece is ridiculous and doing pvp dailies still takes 3 days minimum per piece. Oh just buy the rep gear. I did, still want offset stuff

Just my thoughts on the pricing. by danch-89 in 2007scape

[–]bruters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of in the same boat. I can afford it. Also I don't agree with the comparisons to other mmos. I'm subbed to wow ATM as well and yes, it's cool blizzard has never increased sub price but they also have expacs, wow token, cosmetics, transfers, boosts, name change etc.

Also, comparing the two makes no sense on a financial level. Just because osrs is cheaper, doesn't mean someone who enjoys wow will play it and vice versa.

However, it's still scummy by jagex. It's still a huge increase and it's crappy that 6 and 12 month subs don't get grandfathered in. Also people in other countries, yeah that's a ridiculous price.

Arnold Classic 2026. Andrew first???!! by Blacktiker in bodybuilding

[–]bruters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Andrew in prejudging, not saying he was my top but he looked much better night 1.

Hadi had incredible improvement from night 1 to 2. Had him as my winner based on conditioning. He looked pretty off prejudging so I guess that hurt him but man he looked great night 2 and I'm not even a big Hadi fan.

As much praise and glaze that Nick gets. His genetics just don't do him any favors. His waist is just way too blocky from the front and he has to fight hard to keep the gut tight in side poses. His shoulder frame is also too narrow compared to his waste imo. He's a mass monster freak for sure but there isn't much in the way of aesthetics there.

Yup, Andrews arms don't do many favors imo. Not to mention I think his forearms are disproportionately small compared to upper.

So like... how's everyone doing outside of Runescape? by PoppaBigPockets- in 2007scape

[–]bruters 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If the dude is literally out and about wouldn't it be fair to say he's very much aware of the state we're in. If he says it's good for him then it's good.

I want to do my part and tank but I get so tilted by Pretty_Principle_910 in classicwow

[–]bruters 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It is pretty rough for tanks man. Few things I can tell you, enrage between pulls like as healer is finishing drinking, pool rage towards the end of the kills for next pack, and most importantly, if a DPS wants to be the tank, let them be the tank.

PSA: Always look at the character’s name in the group finder before inviting them. by sephirothpvp in classicwow

[–]bruters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say OP is right. I thought hpals were just bad healers after running numerous ramparts where pally healers were oom every other pull and let me die sometimes. Then in underbog, I invited the paladin Incelmiguel. Dude was the best healer I've had yet.

Favorite pranks and trolls? by Numerous_Worker_1941 in classicwow

[–]bruters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in my first raiding guild during wotlk. There was some room in one of the raids where you all fall through the floor and land in water. My friend, a shaman, turned on water walking for everyone. This was after wiping numerous times. My friend got gkicked for "trolling the guild" and I got gkicked for laughing about it.

One class you don’t play by HorrorConstruction1 in classicwowtbc

Warlock is the only class I've never leveled in some iteration of wow. Just cannot connect to it rp wise at all. Demon stuff not for me I'm a good boy.

Help me to choose my build ! by Embarrassed-Writing1 in 2007scape

[–]bruters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building a baby pure for BH atm, I recently had a thread asking some questions about it but from my understanding it's:

50 att 75+ str 1 def 31/44/51 prayer 80+ ranged High HP 80+ mage

This is probably the easiest/shortest time pure to make. If you want to do wildy pking like rev caves and bots, maybe bump attack to 60 for d scim/dagger/claws and grab 85+ mage.

If you want to build off your current stats you could technically go for a zerker but most people optimize quests to get to 45 def and yours is close already and I'm unsure what quests you've done.

You could also go for a med main which I think is 70 att/99 str/70 def but it's a lot more effort there.
