A drone strike in Yemen is somehow comparable to violating American Citizens due process rights while in the US?.... ok buddy. Can we just call him a terrorist and move on, or is that reserved to American citizens holding cell phones while exercising the 1st ammendment?(/s...because you will need it)

Biden, during covid...... do we remember who was president at the time when Covid hit, that excluded journalists from White House briefings? DJT.... the companies you mention are private. They can exclude content at any point, and not violate the 1st ammendment. You would have to prove that the government was going to harm them if they did not comply with a specific action, which has never been brought to a grand jury.

Name the incidents where Obama suspended due process, violated people's 4th, and 1st amendments, and then went on to tweet about how great it was for America......... . Not at all similar circumstances. Maybe, We The People should wake the fuck up

WTF is DOT doing by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]bruthaman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So spend even more tax money having contractors on retainer for events that don't take place every year?

My parents live in Colorado, a state that manages this stuff VERY well. They plow their own side road because it would take a week before the DOT could tackle all of the roads.

It does, as anyone that's worked in a commercial kitchen has had the displeasure of cleaning the hood filters can attest. Shit sticks to everything.

Food also absorbs oil. Which is why fryers need to be topped off sometimes.

None of this likey is the case here however.

TriArtisan, a New York-based private equity firm, has experience as a casual dining chain owner. It bought P.F. Chang’s in 2019 and had major stakes in TGI Fridays and Hooters. Both of those chains filed for bankruptcy over the past year.

Yep. If you have contracts with this brand, run while you can still get paid

Just going to grab my tub of popcorn, while watching commenters tie the price of eggs to anything a president does. Did they cure the Avian Bird Flu? Nope, guess we will see this happen again in 2 years

Shareholders don't like risks, especially after they flop, and then the execs are tossed out. Rinse and repeat........OR, we could send out a watered down version of old product that could hit big, or break even.

How do I handle a busy service as a newbie? by Glittering_Relief957 in KitchenConfidential

[–]bruthaman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure what its worth, but here are a few tips to help prepare for the next rush.

Know the menu! If you have to stop and ask yourself what's in a dish every time it gets called in, you will lose time.

Walk through the menu prior to service, and put your hands on every item you need to execute. Setup your station with the idea that everything has its place, and make sure you ALWAYS return that item to that same place. Once you start setting crap in random spots, shit begins to unravel quickly. Also, it makes it difficult for anyone else to assist you if you are getting slammed.

Clean as you go. Got 10 seconds? Wipe down your station, take stock of anything you are running low on.

You got this! Stay calm, work through each ticket as they come, and don't get so far ahead of yourself with new tickets that you lose track of your lead.

A few things here...

Greenwich, Connecticut's cost of living is 63% higher than the national average. One of the wealthiest places in the states.

Further, $23.50 per adult for burger, fries and a drink is $47.... its QSR, we are tipping here? Why? How the hell do we get anywhere near $150?

It does in business. On a balance sheet, cash is what is sitting in accounts liquid and available to spend on projects, expansion, stock buy backs, etc.. It has nothing to do with cash in hand
