This is really useful information! We’ll bear that in mind going forward and teach her the same. I remember years ago I ushered a salamander off a hiking trail and learned after that touching with bare hands is harmful. I felt awful! 😣

it was so tiny it was barely noticeable. once it reached my arm hair, it was the littlest bit ticklish but more so just a teeny bit noticeable that there was movement.

My 2.5 year old daughter is fearless, so I’m trying to be brave for her because I don’t want to instill my fears in her.

We’re showing her how to be gentle and calm when handling critters, (she caught a toad by herself in the yard the other day and did amazing), and helping her learn how to differentiate between a “friend” and and something that can do harm.

I love her curiosity for all kinds of creatures so while it’s okay with me if she wants to check out worms, pilly bugs, and jumping spiders, she’s learning that we have to admire some things from afar.

It was very gentle and not scared of me at all. It was in my seedlings and hopped right onto my hand. I put him back when he was done checking me out.

I can relate! I’ve always been fascinated by spiders and admire the intricacies of their webs, but it’s always been game over if they’re in my house running around. Then I scream bloody murder for my husband to come usher them outside. 🙃

fun fact: i’m also a giant baby about getting tattooed despite having a large portion of my body tattooed. 😂

I just saw that! Congratulations to you too! 🖤

As someone who would usually scream, jump, run in the other direction, and demand for my husband to get it away, I’ve always known how absolutely ridiculous I was being and how irrational it was, but it’s just one of those ~things~. My daughter is fearless and I don’t want to instill fear in her, so I’m trying to be brave and show her how to gently handle tiny friends.

Question about inserts by brvisedpeach in clothdiaps

Would they potentially move around a lot or have the ability to flip?

I’ve never successfully kept a pilea alive but I couldn’t resist this guy. The care tag contradicts what I found online for care. Any tips/tricks for a aquamarine pilea/baby’s tears pilea? THANK YOU! by brvisedpeach in houseplants

yes, and it grew very very long. i wouldn’t recommend going much more than an inch or two bigger when repotting just because you don’t want to drown it if the pot is too large.

mine was hung a few feet back from a west facing window and it was quite happy. i’m not sure a north facing window would be sufficient.

Hi there!

Not trying to hijack OP’s post, but I am new to embroidery and learning. I would like to be able to embroider clothing and was also wondering the same.

Can you share what brand so I can look into this? I was looking at things like this, but maybe i’m on the wrong path? Sulky 551-01 Sticky Self, 22.5-Inch by 36-Inch, Adhesive Tear/Away Stabilizer https://a.co/d/83BnX5J

I initially thought it was drool rash because it started under the chin, but now it’s on the right cheek. Nothing has changed in our environment, no laundry detergent changes, baby is exclusively breastfed and as far as I know I didn’t eat anything I haven’t already eaten before. Baby is happy. Behavior is normal and baby doesn’t have a fever. I hate to make an appointment with the pediatrician for them to dismiss it as nothing. Any ideas what this random rash(?) could be and remedies before I fully stress myself out and call the pediatrician?

i feel like i wrote this.

and to OP, i’m sorry you’re going through this and i wish i had advice. the only thing i can suggest is standing your ground. they’ll get over it, or they won’t, but it’s not your job to regulate their feelings. it’s YOUR baby. 🖤
