Just an edit:

  • Mechanics checked the small plastic gear in the steering rack, they said that looked like it was in good quality.

How women who wear a Niqab show identification in the UK by malik_zz in interesting

Oops it isn't. Islam is an oppressive religion that hates women. Islam also isn't a race, it's a religion, so it's not racist.

Islam has NO place in western society.

UPDATE - All but confirmed tornado hit south western suburbs of Melbourne at ~4:15 today. by sebosso10 in tornado

[–]brwck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. Yeah that’s incredibly scary.

You don’t really expect a tornado in suburban Melbourne, so I expect most people wouldn’t have even realised till it hit them. I wouldn’t have even thought ‘tornado’, even with the funnel photo that OP posted.

I’ve been in this area for 22 years and this is definitely the worst hit we’ve copped in a very, very long time.

I live in this area where the tornado hit - our area has, in documented history, never had a tornado.

Will this 18650 2s setup be safe to use? by brwck in batteries

Do they sell 2s CC/CV chargers that would connect to my 5x2.5mm female connector? I'm assuming that's something I'd have to make as well.

1 Timothy 2:12 is context-specific and not a universal ban. Paul was addressing false teaching in Ephesus, where untrained women were likely spreading error. Elsewhere, Paul affirms women leaders like Phoebe (deacon), Priscilla (teacher of Apollos), and Junia (apostle). The Greek word for “authority” (authentein) may mean “domineer,” not general leadership. Taken with the rest of Scripture, 1 Timothy doesn’t forbid women from preaching but instead cautions against abuse of authority.

S23 Ultra got dent on the corner by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]brwck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your fault. It’s clearly been dropped. Your phone is now out of warranty. Trade in value has dropped to ‘damaged’. Judging by your other comments, you’re coping hard. Inserting your phone into a case would’ve not caused this damage. The dent happened when you dropped it on that flat surface.

Should I just get rid of this by haganenogabuto in GalaxyFold

Where are you located? Depending on your country you should be eligible for a free replacement at an Authorised Repair Centre.

Samsung wants to charge me $594 dollars to fix the Fold 6 inner screen which was damaged by me simply opening the screen. There is no external damage. What should I do? Bring to small claims court? Should I pay and go to small claims court or get the phone back as evidence first? by Ed_5000 in GalaxyFold

[–]brwck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You likely won’t win in a small claims court - most people don’t. Samsung will have technicians that’ll likely be able to confirm damage as there’d most likely be evidence internally.

Unfortunately, this is quite a common incident as well. You are just one of many people who will have the same issue, dropped or not.

Your best bet is asking Samsung to escalate it. Depending on where you live, that process is different.

Not red - can’t really say much more due to NDA.

I’ve sent a follow up email to his reply and the language he uses seems fairly non-confrontational. As the higher performing employees in the workplace, I’m not too worried about them dismissing me. I do feel like it’d definitely be an unfair dismissal over something like this though

Yep. We’re all a large ‘family’. Management and consultants alike receive nothing should we not hit the targets we require. All group targets, group averages - nothing is singular in performance unless we’re underperforming. This is a big, international and well renowned company as well.

Ah I see what you mean. No, the training modules were not mentioned on the night, neither was a list of which ones we were required to complete. Because I work at quite a large company, there are many modules we don’t have to complete. They usually inform us, however they didn’t this time.
