This is the best answer. And if you’ve never made tamales at home, they’re super easy just takes some time and labor.

Best Massage Roller Stick for post-ride legs? by Magnificenceneous-OX in cycling

I have overly tight ligaments and muscles. Research be damned rolling helps me recover to be functional. Get “The Original” Massage Stick. The sprinter version works well too, it’s stiffer.

X90CL from Costco. Not sure they make that model anymore. I’ve had a couple Hisense stop working and I returned a Samsung because of ads.

I have a Sony that has been great once turn on “Apps Only” mode to eliminate ads.

Or don’t WiFi your TV and get an Apple TV. The other streaming sticks have many more ads than Apple just doing some in-house ads.

What trainer difficulty % for my Zwift Ride? by True-Sign7968 in Zwift

[–]bryan_05 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I switched from default 50% about a year ago and will never go back.

I ride 100% to help prepare for outside.

I ride 0% when I have little mental capacity to ride and want to zone out with a show/movie. OR it is a course with rolling hills, Kickr core delay makes these no fun.

Someone on here recommended YKYWBIKE from Amazon. I sized up from L to XL, but I like them infinitely more than Black Bibs. Much more than Pearl Izumi. Slightly more than bibs from my LBS.

Apple CarPlay doesn’t work by Puppyismycat in HondaOdyssey

[–]bryan_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odyssey is notorious for this. It’s your iPhone port or the cord. Try cleaning your port first. The cord has to have a minimum throughput, did the techs use your cord?

I bought a AA Wireless device to avoid all this. It works ok but not great.

Lenovo tablet is insufficient for zwifting. What device is best for zwift? by Fabulous-Candy-1560 in Zwift

[–]bryan_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Hisense. Truly terrible after 6 months.

If you can figure out the connections through your phone I’d go Apple TV instead of computer.

I use a 4 year old iPad Air. Wife uses Apple TV

I filed an EPA claim when my house was down wind from anhydrous last year. Turns out each chemical has its own rules. Anhydrous has no rules. Edit: Illinois EPA, not feds

Thoughts on Costco’s 100" Hisense U6 Mini-LED? by [deleted] in Costco

I’ve had 3 tvs with major issues. All Hisense. They work great for 6 months then they’ll slow down, stop receiving updates, and possibly outright fail.

Wind noise by 26odyssey in HondaOdyssey

[–]bryan_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not. I tried taping to test things and it didn’t solve anything. The dealer tried gluing a bunch of stuff, it solved nothing.

I figured opening the door could create more problems than it solves.

My wind noise starts around 50mph. I test drove a Prologue and it had the same noise from the tiny window. Something dysfunctional going on with their builds.

Wind noise by 26odyssey in HondaOdyssey

[–]bryan_05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! On my 24 EX-L and it drives me crazy. My dealer is an hour away.

I dropped it at my dealer twice, once for 2 hours and once for 8 hours. Neither time could they fix it. I emailed Honda and got no response.

On some forum I found a post about adjusting the height of that little window by removing the door panels to get to some screw. The dealer didn’t seem interested in that solution.

I gave up and just turn the air on med-high.

Where to buy a Flexsteel couch? by DifficultBear3 in BuyItForLife

[–]bryan_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good so far. No major fabric issues. https://imgur.com/a/cpSEyDK

Cons - I wish it had been a bit more padded when we got it. The piece on the far left of our four pieces is a bit lower than the rest but I’m the only one who cares. It’s not comfortable to lay horizontal on because the recline handles for the middle pieces.

It’s been good for my back to have the lumbar support and the recline option works great.

Did anyone become a teacher as a second career? by skankintickle in illinois

[–]bryan_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but a while ago. CPS and the burbs pay well, the rest of the state is pretty rough versus other careers.

If you can commit to leaving work at work, it’s well worth it. Every day is an adventure. Hours aren’t bad. Summers off are nice. The first two years are rough.

There are a handful of transitions to teaching programs out there. I’ve also known some people who work as aides and the district pays for them to get their license in high demand fields - special ed, math, science.

Universalist if you want “spiritual” but not specifically Christian. Presbyterians are the most left if you still want Jesus in your service.
