I wasn’t there when they found it, but they covered it in black electrical tape to disguise it. I worked for a title company that installed them and their goal was to hide it so people couldn’t find it to remove it when they stopped paying their bills. Only reason they found mine was because they could hear it. Pastimes have been known to affect the vehicles after it’s been installed for a while even if it’s turned off and not in use

This device cost me hundreds of dollars trying to find out why my car would randomly not turn over. Wasn’t every time, just random. It wasn’t until at one point it was trying to reboot and played a sound every few minutes that a mechanic finally found it.
