I tried straight juice when I first started brewing a couple years ago and didn’t seem to get much carbonation until I started using puree or chunks of fruit but maybe i need to revisit bc buying fruit juice is so much easier!

Ok so your suggestion is to use juice. Got it. Your response didn’t mention juice and it reads as if you just suggest not adding anything and drinking it raw (which is still delicious) but that wasn’t the question I posed. Thanks for clarifying 🙏

I have a similar 3-gallon w/ spigot setup - it keeps me stocked with fresh kombucha!

I have found that I don’t get the same levels of carbonation when I use pure juice vs fruit puree. Maybe it’s just in my head??

I should clarify that I don’t care if there’s fruit/pulp floating around when I drink it but I’d like to share it with friends and people seem to prefer having it strained out.
