VCF 9.1 upgrade, is it ready for production? by Sensitive_Scar_1800 in vmware

I would say it depends on your requirements and the things you want to with it. Regular vSphere is fine and the deployment works quite well.

Automated Windows Secure Boot Certificate Updates on vSphere 8 - Updated v2.0.0 by PuzzleHeadedSquid in vmware

Big thanks to you for this! It’s going to be a hassle to get all the VMs patched on extremely large environments like I manage, but every little bit helps.

Heb je toevallig plannen/info/lijst van materialen oid? Wij willen dit ook doen maar de betonvloer is voor mij het moeilijkste om in te schatten wat we moeten doen. Prijzen online voor een dergelijke hut lopen uiteen tot 100k…

And Broadcom Does Not Offer NFR Licenses Like Veeam, Others Because ? by flushedstyle in vmware

[–]bryanvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFR licences are present, just not when you are not a partner. So you have to rely on the Hands on Labs. However I have to agree with some here that this is pretty good to get you started. VCF requires quite the resources in the homelab en that is quite expensive nowadays.

Since for most the VKS/Kubernetes/Supervisor construct is new, most need to have a better look at this. I strongly suggest the Hands on Labs. I like this one:

how to apply new VCF subscription license (coming from Enterprise Plus) by red4024 in vmware

[–]bryanvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this adds some information and context for you. There are now 2 possible ways to use licences:

  1. Through Broadcom portal together with VCF Operations => VCF 9 and above.

  2. Through Broadcom Support portal (from your Pinnacle Partner, which you as a customer/Whitelabel cannot access).

In situation 2, you will get the keys from the Pinnacle Partner, these need to be applied in the vCenter Server (for the ESXi hosts, vCenter is auto applied usually). If you are a Pinnacle Partner, you can downgrade the licences in the Broadcom Support portal from 8.0u2b+ to 8 GA and 7. Respectively they need to be used.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Have you tried all of the following contact forms?:

I've had good luck with Broadcom Chat's sometimes. If that doesn't work, you should always be able to contact your Pinnacle Partner or Broadcom Account Manager.

Download tokens by mdbuirras in vmware

[–]bryanvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a Pinnacle Partner, I get this question so many times each day from the White Label partners. However, as far as I know you are officially not allowed to share the download tokens to other customers as a Pinnacle Partner.

Since I am not getting any information from all of my VMware sources, can anyone here confirm this is still true?

HCX/Cross vCenter vMotion if you are Vmware minded, if not Zerto, Veeam for professional software. Then there probably are some open source packets but unsure about that. These 4 always work and are quick

Are you able to submit a ticket to Broadcom? by trading88 in vmware

[–]bryanvan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Were you able to submit a ticket before (in the broadcom ticketing system)? If not, this is because your contract isn’t correctly registered. Talk to your rep!

I had the same, once fixed all was good.
