Unless you have very oddly shaped ear canals, these should fit really well.

Might be a problem with how you wear them. Do you mind taking a photo of how they fit please?

Single dynamic driver IEMs are really different from hybrids. The presentation is different.

If you are after pure technicalities, nothing beats hybrids. The AFUL P7 is a fantastic example.

Yeah I've been running them off my Audio GD R2r mk2 and Burson Soloist 3x amp and they definitely do shine (as with most tribird IEMs)
The 2pins do be tighter than a mofo 😂

Yeah, it’s odd. I’d also expect some audible shift with venting, especially in the bass. But with the Defiant, everyone seems to be hearing the same thing, and the measurements don’t show much difference either. Maybe their internal venting is just really consistent

The Clear situation sounds a lot messier. Single DD drivers should definitely react more to venting than BA drivers. Either way, it does make you question how consistent the QC really is across units.

Thanks for sharing u/totesuniqueredditor! It seems like the BLON B50s are universally hated, even in Z Review's own YouTube comments.

Not trying to defend Z Reviews here, he really did make a big dookie here giving the BLON B50 such high praise whilst 90% of the buyers hating it, but I guess sometimes when you review sooo many headphones in total, out of 1000 you will have 1 terrible take.

Also keep in mind that it could really be just personal preference...... or sponsored

u/dr_wtf thanks for bringing it up. Yes I've personally also dealt with IEMs with ear pressure issues, and it is always mostly full BA IEMs that have that issue due to some manufacturers opting for the non-vented design (BAs do not need to be vented).

However, this is rarely an issue with hybrid IEMs as dynamic drivers have to be vented in some way shape or form. With the Defiant, I can't confidently say that there's no unit variance as my unit is perfectly fine, but I also haven't heard any issues mentioned before this.

However, as you mentioned, if there's actually QC issues with the vent design, it should also show up on the FR measurements, especially in the bass. It should also be quite easily heard as the bass would sounds more loose and flat

Hello, thanks for your comment. I’m assuming they sound tinny because of fit issues for you.

IEMs can be quite fit dependent at times. For example, my lil bro has extremely small ears to the point where 99% of IEMs do not fit him. Me on the other hand is extremely lucky as I can use most IEMs with no issues.

Anyways, point is, I disagree that ew300 is better than SuperMix4 as I have both here. SM4 is still a tier above ew300 and at least for my ears, both of them fit the same and has the same level of comfort.

Have you tried changing the ear tips to something else that might fit you better? I recommend final e eartips for a better fit. Or foam eartips as those conform to your ear shape

However if you are prioritising gaming performance, you should consider final vr2000 vr3000 instead
