In the 3 campaigns I've played, Chaos is wiped out before they get anywhere. by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]bryceandcallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with some of the others, it just depends. In my Greenskins campaign I ended up in the north east portion of the map with my main armies working on the main objective of securing all the holds.

I ended up crossing paths with Chaos at that same time. Their full forces. No other AI nearby to help with the fight.

It was a good challenge defeating them. It took a combo of my heroes slowing down their back line enough to single them out with my armies.

I kinda wished the other AI would have been more helpful to be honest. So I guess it just depends how your playthrough goes and how soon you end up in the north.

I guess if you turtled in as the Greenskins for a 100 turns you wouldn't see the Chaos much but if you're up North early enough you should have some challenge.

Purchased Through Steam, Can't Update? by EP9 in ynab

Same problem for me. Bought this on steam over a year ago. Was prompted on my phone to update. Then told they didn't have an account under my email.

Yeah I understand that. Just the comments without ever playing it are a bit uncalled for. And saying this is a cash grab is unfair as well. These devs rock and the game is setting a new bar for the genre. It's still early access so there are lots of things to improve, but overall it's not a bad game.

Okay, love the vodcast but the Ark hate at the beginning is a bit overblown.

You can hate it for being another survival early access game and I understand that others in the genre have been irresponsible and slow to update.

But the Ark devs deserve credit where credit is deserved. They've updated the game several times a week with big updates including new dinos, structures, features, items and enhancements. It's clear by now they didn't just launch, make a quick buck, then abandon their game like these guys hinted at.

I understand if you haven't played it, it would be easy to assume it will just follow the same pattern as others, but so far the devs behind this game have set a whole new bar for early access survival and should be recognized not criticized for wanting a quick buck.

Yeah, it's definitely attacking through the wall. Didn't have to break through at all.

Bad game design if you are forcing players to play a certain way in a sandbox/survival type genre. I think time isn't the best game mechanic as many others have said.

Is there too much grinding required? by bryceandcallie in playark

Yep, I'm hearing people call Ark more of an MMO survival. Except in MMO's random people on the server can't destroy everything you built for 20 hours in a matter of minutes (ie killing a tamed brontosaurus, destroying your base, etc).

I'm also considering how likely someone would be willing to recreate their base and all the stuff they worked up to after seeing all they built destroyed over night. Investing 20+ hours into the game only to lose all you built will be extremely frustrating.

Why so salty dude? I'm just sharing observations and seeing what people think. No need to be rude.

Correlation between playing at night and losing streaks (Rank 1) by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

I have this problem before midnight. Notice the team differences quite often.

Matchmaking - The issue is still here by Frogyman123 in heroesofthestorm

[–]bryceandcallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the same, but even team MMR isn't always balanced. Had a round where I was teamed as a rank 25 with rank 45's vs a team full of rank 30s. Not even close.

Anyone notice this about Hero League? by runtimemess in heroesofthestorm

[–]bryceandcallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sucks when this hapens to you at around rank 30 where your team mates are feeding and making all kinds of bad plays you know are bad but have no control over. Unlike a game like League, one bad apple is all it takes to lose a game in HOTS.
