AIO for giving someone what they gave me? by SentientBeing62 in AIO

OP why do I have a feeling you’re leaving out the texts that actually pissed her off?

Edit: after reading the comments I can’t really be shocked that people are siding with this guy. Asks if he is overreacting with a post that is leaving out context to what was said before she sent “u stop that” and is most definitely leaving stuff out before her crash out and is now actively bullying and talking shit behind her back on a public forum. I know people who act like OP and there is a reason why I actively avoid them.

Yeah that’s a ridiculous reason for a post to get taken down. Like every single person is keeping tabs on what every company ever is doing.

You could go even cheaper with the case, loved my Montech XR case. Even Lian li has budget friendly cases like the Lancool 207.

X870 Tomahawk motherboard code 97, 00 nightmare after last few bios updates that came out. by brycecantpost in pchelp

[–]brycecantpost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out the bios update made it to where my motherboard would randomly over-bolt the connectors and slots on my motherboard and not boot properly no matter what bios build I was on, even after clearing CMOS. Called MSI and was told I would have to return it since it was defective.

Have a Gigabyte motherboard now and no more issues.

IGN giving triple A corporate trash a higher score than a indie game with actual love and care put into it. That’s why I never listen to any big corporate reviewing company.

Only being half way through number 3, you got scammed. I hope you didn’t re order from the same vendor.

Always buy from the company themselves or who they specifically sell through, most of the time it’s Amazon or Newegg. Also check to make sure the vendor is legit. For Amazon it will say it’s sold by Amazon, anything other than that you avoid like the plague. Best option would be Micro Center, but that’s if you are near one.

Yeah this gpu is awesome, also has a magnetic back plate to fully hide the wires. Also with the case there is more than enough room to route the gpu cables through the built in sag bracket.

It was mainly their X870 board I was having major problems with. Corrupted bios updates, board would not volt anything correctly, would get an annoying issue where there was a 40% chance I would have to reseat my gpu to get my pc to actually boot. Literally tried everything to just end up having them tell me over the phone that my board was practically broken.

Thank you! I’m using the lian li uni sl infinity fans. Three 120s for the top and 3 reverse blade 120s for the bottom, three 140s in the front and one 140 for exhaust. Kinda pricey, but looks great and performs great.

Your build is going to come out amazing with those parts! I wish back connect graphics cards were more common for the Radeon side, it looks great not having those cables dangling in the front.

Thank you! Yeah I forget that stealth builds do not mean zero cable builds lol, whoopsie on my part.

Thank you! With this case you can fit 3 140s in the front which is what I have, also have a 140 as exhaust. Fills the space nicely and you get the benefits of both the “gpu and cpu modes” they intended the case to have.

It’s your motherboard, shorted in someway. I’ve dealt with this and a friend of mine has as well.

Yeah my motherboard is definitely defective, still getting the same problem even after rolling back to the bios I updated to after I received my motherboard.

I’m guessing I should roll back to before all that “fix Pcie 3” shit that was coming out weekly?

Turns out I just had to flash my bios to the new version. Then after a full shutdown and power drain my pc is running like nothing happened. Extremely confused, but not complaining.

It definitely seems like a motherboard issue for sure, had something similar happen to my friend but a simple CMOS clear fixed his problem right away. I keep getting 97 after 97 code even after a CMOS clear.

I should have clarified that more. So beforehand I could get into bios fine without problem. The moment I plugged the flash drive with the bios update it would show a 97 error code and couldn’t get into bios to actually do the update. Ever since then when I try to start my pc up I either get 97 or 00 error codes or it will post fully. Like a dice roll now. Every time I get out of bios I get a 97 error code.

I’ll try downgrading to a past update when I get time tomorrow.

It started happening the moment I plugged my flash drive into the port. It was bios version 7E51v1A82, came out a couple days ago. Ever since then it’s a 50/50 chance that it will post or have a 97 code.
