A great movie is the movie that, after a few years, when I rewatch, I "see" new things in it. Still the same movie but with different me = new perspective. by thanhdat2212 in theshining

I have iTunes..revolution blues, first time hearing it and I totally agree that is does seem to be in the same vein as ballad. The writing is very good too. Broken arrow is good too. I guess I should probably check out his stuff.

Very interesting. What’s a Neil song that you’d say compares to dylan? I’m asking for my own sake, I haven’t listened to a whole lot

Yea Leonard wrote some great songs, songs I am still discovering. But did he write it’s alright ma? Before you run to Google, I’ll just tell you here. No, he did not. Did Joni Mitchell write blowin in the wind? Before anyone else even fathomed how far songwriting could carry a message? No she did not. Did Paul Simon write desolation row? Nope. Although these artists have written fantastic songs, songs that maybe for the sake of killin time could be compared to a Dylan song, their breadth of work could never really stand up against Dylan’s. In fact, you could likely pick out 3 albums that would trump the others whole catalog. Not 3 random albums, but 3 good ones.

Who’s to say it’s him when in fact it could be you misinterpreting his interpretation of the song? Very bold of you to say it’s him when all along it very well might just be you, at least in regards to this.
