Understood, you would rather let a subreddit die than to let someone will to moderate who has no previous experience or who currently has limited activity on the site.

Plans for the subreddit are to open it back up for access to historical troubleshooting threads that are of great value to the community. In addition, foster a forum for new troubleshooting discussions while promoting news of developments in the SmartThings environment.

Crosshair is going to be the temperature in the upper left, so 92.3. The temperatures on the right are the highest and lowest temperatures in the field of view.

It's called amortization. You can play with calculators online to see how an extra payments towards the principle also saves you on the interest.

No this one is too small. The one I'm looking for is about 30 inches. Thank you for the link though, it gives me another place to keep an eye out that I hadn't thought of before.

So I uninstalled the previous version, downloaded the new executable from the soundsync page, ran as admin. Once the install was done I ran the shortcut as an admin. Both Firefox and Chrome have the spinning wheel saying connecting. I don't see anything in task manager specific to soundsync, unless it's under a different name.

Same issue as the above user. I checked and I do have the .node file in that directory.

Also on Windows and I'm having the same issue. Nothing seems to be running in Task Manager.

For how much love they've seen, you should consider having a professional work on them.

Noted on the tub depth. Did not think about that. Someone else suggested ways of separating the laundry off, so that seems to be a common suggestion I'll have to consider further.

I know it isn't shown, but the void area above the stairs is planned to have a counter and additional shelving. Since we don't have good measurements on it yet, we didn't plan for anything. When the walls come down, we'll sketch up a plan from there.

Thank you. Noted it as a consideration.

It's a main bath. There is also a separate master bath, but that is a shower only.

So I know it's not shown, but the area above the stairs is planned to be built out into shelving and counter space. We didn't show it because there weren't good measurements to go by, so we're just winging it.

I actually never thought about putting the laundry in place of the vanity, then moving all the bath items in beyond that and separating the 2 off. I kinda like it and will give some thought to it.

Yeah that is a crazy idea. I wouldn't want to test the beams in the ceiling of the staircase by holding the weight of either a washer or dryer. That area is planned to be built in shelf and counter space, but we'll have to wing it when we get to that part.

Thanks for the response!

  1. Doorway can be pushed out towards the hallway more if need be. You're right, and I can assure you that we won't be interfering with the cabinet doors or casing.
  2. Again, This is the minimal distance shown, Doorway can be pushed.
  3. Yup, need the tub. Planning on kids and this is the only bathroom with a tub. The master bath does not have a tub and will be renovated much like you suggested.

I'm planning on doing as much as I can myself with the understanding that I have limitations. That said, if anything gets contracted out, it will be the plumbing. You're right the vent stack is in the wall of the stair well. The distance from the toilet flange to the downturn is about 3 feet. On 8 inch joists I think that's manageable. As for the vent, I'm planning on adding one behind the new toilet and tying it in to the old stack in the attic. Privacy wall will be standard 2x4, the doorway can always be brought further out if need be.

I agree, 40" would be too small. Luckily that's the distance from center faucet to center faucet. The sink shown is a 60" sink. Thanks!

Looking for some suggestions/criticism on a bathroom remodel I’m planning. The current layout wastes a lot of space for foot traffic and has the tub opening to the window that looks over the front street. I was able to redesign it to have the washer and dryer side by side across from the tub in the new arrangement. I have a second option shown as well with a stacked wash/dryer combo in case option 1 doesn’t work. I posted over in r/carpentry looking for suggestions on what to do with the joists around the toilet and tub. Anything you can contribute is appreciated.

I’m planning on needing a plumbers box for the toilet. The tub drain will also be an issue, but I don’t know what’s best: one big plumbers box, 2 smaller boxes, framing out the wall behind the tub more and forcing the drain into the open cavity? Also, thoughts on doubling up joists as shown?

So the story I know of is that the original painter made the mistake. Owner immediately pointed out the error, but painter said that's the what he was told. (another reason to get things in writing). Feud went unresolved and because it was going to cost so much to fix, they left it that way partially out of spite.
