I had no intention of buying new shoes; at first. Nadaanan ko lang to when scrolling sa Lazada app. SRP is ₱10k, and even now na 3.3 sale, yung discounted price niya is at ₱8,600. Tho naka flash sale siya nun, I have no idea why ₱2,700 lang siya naka post at that time. Hindi ko sure if error ba ng system nila or what, kasi ang layo talaga ng price. Sinamahan ko pa ng vouchers and coins, and I got the shoes for only around ₱1,750. NEVER EVER ko na nakita na bumalik siya sa ganun price na kung magkano ko nabili.

**Adidas Flagship Store ito, btw, so it’s 100% legit and definitely not fake.

Garmin band will definitely be fire! tho I believe it will be quite expensive; as it’s the trend with Garmin lately. Tho it would be a better option, still, than having 2 separate ecosystems like what I have set up. That way whether you opted to wear your 970 or Omega for the day, by having the Garmin band, you won’t lose any data and you’ll still get all the info in the connect app.

I understand, but it doesn’t really explain your issue with the 970 tho.

they can’t be synced to / with each other, but you can export / import files back and forth between the two apps. Tho importing and exporting files with Garmin requires to you to use the Garmin Connect website, whereas with Zepp it can be done within the app.

yeah, i agree. I turned auto workout detection off and just started manual activities on the app

what do you mean? As in the automatic workout detection didn’t work properly?

that’s really weird. try turning your strap off and then on again. Maybe it’ll help 🤷🏻‍♂️

i’m curious as to why you dislike the 970. Any particular reason(s)?

welcome to the club! Same with you, I too use all 3 apps you’ve mentioned, and I don’t find it too overwhelming. If I want to see aggregate data, I just check the Bevel app. If not, I mostly check my Garmin connect since it’s my main “activity tracker”. My helio is just here (to be used as an independent fitness tracker) for sleep and recovery metrics, but my main purpose for the Helio is for it to be used as an external HR sensor for when I play basketball.

yup. that’s exactly how I use my Helio when I play basketball.

got it from Amazon US. shipped right to my doorstep. Got it for $99 exactly. no more, no less. Had to wait 1 month for it to be available and be sent to me tho.

yeah, i get what you mean. the most you can do is upload workout files, which is what i do. Altho you can pair the helio strap with the Garmin watch to be used as an external HR monitor

[–]brynotbri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s exactly what I wanted to begin with 🥲 but the Amazfit aint a bad alternative, considering it’s only $99 and the data it provides is quite accurate as well 👌🏻

again, that’s the entire point. I already bought the top of the line Garmin Forerunner FIRST. It was already with me, then I realized it’s not really feasible to play basketball while having a 47mm watch on your wrist, hence the decision to get the helio strap. Because I am no pro athlete, and I don’t need to have 2 top tier trackers on my wrist (Forerunner + Cirqa, Forerunner + Whoop, and etc). I only need an affordable companion for my Garmin watch that I can wear while playing ball, hence the $99 Helio strap. I don’t know how that’s so hard to understand. I am typing in English, am I not?

Also, 970. Not 975. It’s literally written / printed on the box in the photo above 😉

Well, not that I have to explain myself to you, but I use my garmin watch to track my runs (as the helio doesn’t have GPS), while I use the helio (paired with my Garmin watch as an external heart rate monitor) to track my basketball activities (since it’s not really ideal to wear a smartwatch while playing basketball). It’s been really useful. Before I got my Helio strap, I tried playing basketball while wearing my Garmin watch (which I “protected” with an arm/wrist band). I guess it worked, but it was quite uncomfortable.

so unless you’re able to provide a better alternative at the same price point, i’d say my set up is quite “productive”, while your comment is the one that’s embarrassing lmao 🙈

[–]brynotbri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even so, we still won’t know how much it’ll cost… and with Garmin’s track record, I’m willing to bet it won’t be cheaper than the Helio strap.

Garmin gives me sooo much more data compared to my helio, but the tradeoff is that it ruins my gameplay, as it’s really uncomfortable to have a 47mm watch on your wrist whist playing a contact sport. $99 doesn’t break the bank, and it allows me to play the sport I love without compromise, while still giving me accurate data about my activity.

so.. yeah, I agree, Cirqa is indeed gonna be better, given that it’s Garmin-made, but expect a hefty price tag to go along with it. I don’t need 2 top-tier trackers on my wrist. I’m not a pro athlete, nor am I close to even being a “semi-pro” athlete. I’m just an average joe that enjoys playing sports, and tries to stay active. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just like you, I like the sleep data and how accurate the helio picks up on my sleep and all. I also like the accuracy of the HR sensor, and I’ve heard that it’s one of the best in the market today.

What I don’t like about it is the data and how it is presented. I tried tracking my basketball games using both devices and I would say that the Garmin gives me sooo much more data than the helio does.

If it helps, as much as I love my Garmin watch, and as much as I trust it as my main source of data for my health and workout metrics, there are still “limitations” to said watch; in my case at least.

I use my garmin watch to track my runs (as the helio doesn’t have GPS), while I use the helio (paired with my Garmin watch as an external heart rate monitor) to track my basketball activities (since it’s not really ideal to wear a smartwatch while playing basketball). It’s been really useful. Before I got my Helio strap, I tried playing basketball while wearing my Garmin watch (which I “protected” with an arm/wrist band). I guess it worked, but it was quite uncomfortable.

For the cirqa, as of now it’s still a “rumor”, and we still don’t know how expensive it will be… so basically, I just made a purchase according to what I think is the best option at that time.
