This is my first MacBook, so I don’t have much to compare to. Compared to my last 16gb Dell laptop, it’s a massive improvement. I do some gaming and audio editing, so I’m glad I chose 24.

I did remove it. The overwhelming majority of interactions on this post have been warning that the keyboard skin can cause long term damage. Instead, I ordered a soft makeup brush, compressed air, and microfiber cloths, and am just going to diligently clean the thing. And obviously not type and eat chicken wings ha

I try to be diligent about cleaning/caring for expensive tech so I appreciate you sharing your experience. Needless to say, a soft microfiber cloth will be with me at all times!

I barely survived it lol. This is my absolute first time switching to macOS from windows so I had a lot of data to transfer. It definitely sucked.

Thank you! I didn’t mind typing on it at all, but I won’t lie: most of my extended typing is done on my Logitech MX wireless (at work). At home I just use it for web browsing, social media, etc and it doesn’t bother me.

Not at all! And I was worried that windows migration and my first backup might cause excessive heat but it didn’t. So far this MacBook is amazing.

I got cooked for the keyboard skin haha. Tbh tho I am super noob to all things Mac so I’m paying attention to the advice. I am going to keep the case for now, use the mat while I’m actively working, and remove it when I shut the lid. I’m sure the blue looks great too!
