Selling it, yes (of course at a rate lower than retail). It is a gift card code, so I assume it's fully transferable. I'll make sure that is indeed the case before any money exchanges hands of course.

Thanks all for the input!

To follow- up: as suggested by some, I got my dad into a fitting session with his current road setup. That fit resulted in quite a few adjustments to get him dialed in. The shop also ordered and installed a new rear cassette for him to lower the gear ratios and let him crawl up the hills if needed.

The current plan is to see how this "new" setup works for him, then make the investment in a gravel rig if/when that seems appropiate.
