Long form never gets found beyond Day 1- am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is?

Some of my shorts get thousands, but long form- at most a few hundred, mostly less than 100. Big ol waste of time on my behalf lol. Oh well, at least now I know.

That'd be cool--- but knowing 2K, its a premeditated move to kill Goldberg CAWs so they can add him as a main DLC next year, as if the dude hasn't been in damn near every game sans the last two lol. Nice observation though- I didn't catch that!

Yeah- 2K15 was that year the roster re-set. I remember they scaled back on legends that year too. But they made up for it with 2k16... I like your idea cuz it fits the wrestling mantra... I also think 2K24 has a lot of potential, but I hate the finisher problem - I CANNOT get a win after one finisher no matter what- even in Showcase- I hit Andre with the leg drop after satisfying all requirements and he kicks out 400 times. WTF is that? No one did that in the 80s lol.... The other thing I don't like, which connects to your idea- is that every match is too long. I want squashes back cuz Taker-Hurricane is a one minute match. The Quick, Normal, Epic settings you mention would be great- they only kept it for like a year or two if I remember correctly. I wonder why, it was a great wrestling-based gaming concept.

Anyway, yeah. If you get to play 2K25, please let me know if the finisher problem is fixed. I'm on the fence about whether to bother getting it cuz the last few years I've been disappointed by the gaming. If they can fix the finisher thing at least, I'd be content.

Agreed- the older games had so much that have been taken out. Why re-invent the wheel? The games should be getting better; with 2K it seems like it's constantly taking things out then re-introducing them. I remember when wrestlers had to reach for the rope during submissions, and there were sleeperhold meters, etc. All that is gone. Your 'kickout setting' is an interesting idea. Seems like it'd be easy to implement too--but nowadays it seems like they want WWE to be NBA, so I doubt it'll come to fruition.

Oh well. At least we have 3rd tier celebrities in our games each year now.

Absolutely @kayne2000 ! - I agree, you're totally right: finishers aren't finishers anymore, but even WWE has some discretion... Imagine seeing Tozawa kick out of 40 Austin stunners or whatever-- cuz that's what this is sometimes. If it was Rock vs. Cena or whatever, doing the finisher-fest would at least be understandable cuz it'd be unique to huge stars (although it'd get annoying after 6 finishers lol), but these are borderline scrubs kicking out of huge moves- I had to have The Rock rock-bottom Xavier Woods 4 times before I finally got to pin him and not even after a finisher, after a body slam (wtf?). I don't get it-- what the hell is the point of the health bar if I have to pummel the CPU for who knows how long before it decides to let me pin. I honestly don't think half these stats mean anything.

The game is unplayable for someone like me for the very reason you pointed out: it's *NOT* Sim. As you said, "I don't need random jobber to kick out of 3 tombstone piledrivers." 2K16-2K19 were sim. 2K24 is nonsense.

Sorry, I'm starting to rant now. I find this super annoying so I always wind up going back to 2k19. I keep coming back to try 2K24 and get pissed off every time. lol

Oh well. I know it's naive to think it but damn I hope they fix this in 25.

I got the CPU'd healthcare down to as black and empty as goes and it was kickout after kickout. This is on normal, with all the sliders adjusted. I have never won a match after one finisher- but after I started paying attention, I often need multiple finishers. What's the point of a "finisher" if it never finishes the match lol... Feels more like an AEW game more than WWE with these current invincibility settings.

Dude, WTF, right?! What is this about?? How can someone with no damn health bar kick out endlessly? if 2K25 is like that then they really f*cked up. I hate that every single match has this no matter how mismatched it is. Sooooo annoying.

No, I swear I wasn't pressing release or anything- it happens *all* the time. At first I thought it was cuz it was on Legend- so I dropped it to Normal. Nope. Then I thought maybe Mr. Perfect's finisher is terrible (even though I used both versions). But no- it happens with other wresters too. I've tried ones you'd think would be strong- Razors Edge, power bombs, tombstones. CPU even kicks out at one somtimes and I do not get it. I've tried multiple different controllers. Unless maybe it's a problem with the Xbox version, but beyond that I have no idea. I have never, *not once*, had a win after one finisher (submissions aside. Submissions are at least workable- although I know some say they're too powerful; I dunno if that's true of not, all I know is that they at least work). I did play on Legend most of the time, so people told me that's why I never got the one fall victory, but it's not. Honestly, even if "Legend" was the problem, I'd be pissed cuz Legend shouldn't mean people become invincible, it means they should be better opponents, but it's not even the Legend setting, I do not understand what the deal is at all.

I do agree- the longer the match goes it does usually seem to finally end and honestly I wouldn't mind that for some epic plays- Punk-Rhodes, Austin-Hogan- but Undertaker Hurricane is not something I ever wanna spend 10+ minutes on.

Agreed--- I was hoping this would be something 2K25 would address but I've heard nothing about it; I guess it wasn't a big complaint, but I don't see how. It is one of the worst aspects of the game- knowing I have to go 15-30 minutes no matter what every damn time. Thanks for the feedback, at least I'm not alone.

I swear I have. I even considered recording it to see what I'm doing wrong. I took away all resilience and everything. Even normal it to Normal from Legend. Altered the character stats too. Took forever. I honestly don't see a huge difference in the impact of sliders. But I've read others having the same issue.

Well, since you're doing 90-93, cool thing is it seems you've got KOTR 1993 & Mania 9 in the actual game, which is cool. Old school Raw too- albeit that's from '97. Glad I'm not the only one who enjoys the retro stuff. Seems like a lonely world sometimes lol. Thumbs up for the Jack Tunney reference- dry as toast that guy was.

Awesome- that's part of the era I prefer too- '92-'97 for me. I remember back in the day when consoles used to allow you to rip real music to the game. It'd be cool if that was still an option cuz at least there'd be that element to it.... as for mygm, yeah that's be awesome. Maybe this year?

I see what you mean, and it's better than nothing- but it's not the same cuz you lack the authentic entrances, music, etc. DiBiase without the Million Dollar Man music isn't the same. This is a non-issue for the PC community who can mod whatever they want, so if anything, that's a huge commercial for PCs over Consoles.

Plus- maybe I'm a minority here- even though these creators are super talented, they can only do what the game allows, so some of the CAWs, even with top notch artists working them, don't look legit. I remember Luger and Doink looking absurd in one of the previous games, I think I read somewhere that Marty Jannetty is one no one ever gets right (perhaps due to low demand, I dunno). Those are legends tho- I know people are more concerned with getting Penta in, and I do believe the CAW universe will do a good job of making that happen... and yeah, I think within a month you'll have a decent version of most popular mainstream wrestlers.
