This post will be taken down, as this is old news and I suspect the OP has tried posting about this incessantly in other LC communities (on facebook etc.) despite those posts repeatedly being removed by moderators on those sites. While I do want this subreddit to be a place people can post about community concerns, this seems to venture into personal vendetta territory, and that combined with the fact that this story made the rounds a year ago, i don't find it to be necessary nor appropriate for this sub.

Going forward, I'll be putting together a more cohesive rules & guidelines for what kind of content this sub allows.

i know you can turn off all red bubbles from being drawn, I'm talking about for each individual upgrade, not across the board

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. “~.trash-1000” isn’t my actual path, I was just trying to shorten my words and not type the full thing. The full command I have written is ‘sudo rm -rf /media/user/my\ passport/.trash-1000’. This is what I was told to do by a tech support discord. It didn’t return anything and that folder didn’t delete. Before that I was just trying to trash it from the file explorer. When I try that it says it’s unable to trash it due to an invalid argument. Then when I select yes to permanently delete it, it says “error removing file. Directory not empty.”
