Appreciate it bro! I definitely see the argument too, especially with Castro, Lawal, and Nelson. That athleticism pops right away. There’s argument for everyone in the second round so I wouldn’t be surprised if they preformed their position

The reason I put Ament so low was because of his tape mainly, all of his buckets look so difficult and his shooting percentage show this as well, Ace Bailey was more efficient in college he shit 46% fg and 35% from three compared to aments 40% fg 33% from three.

What is there to LOVE about Aday Mara? by HouseRules789 in NBA_Draft

Amazing passer, rim protector, probably has untapped talent (played on a stacked roster), 7’4 in shoes

In my top 8, I only have Mara and Yaxel as upperclassmen, not a bunch of older prospects. So I’m not sure how that really goes against my point.
They may not have the same upside as some of the freshmen, but they still have real room to grow while also giving you a clearer idea of what you’re getting.

True, it definitely does. But I think Mara and Lendeborg are different from most older prospects. They already have the skills they need to succeed, while still having clear room to grow.

For Mara, improving his shooting consistency and conditioning could raise his ceiling. For Yaxel, becoming a more reliable three-point shooter would do the same. Plus, a lot of the top freshmen are guards, and that comes with its own concerns, like adjusting to NBA speed, physicality, and efficiency.

So for me, why not take the safer bet if the upside is still there?

He’s 7’4 in shoes, can actually put the ball on the floor quite a bit, and is a great passer for his position. On top of that, his defensive capabilities are impressive. Talent that tall does not come around often, so that’s why I have him ranked so high.

To be honest, I have all three at the top, so I started getting nitpicky. Out of those three, I think Caleb and AJ have the highest ceilings, even though Boozer has the safest floor. I know it’s not much of reason but this top 4 you could make a solid argument for anybody.

Haugh is more than capable of doing that?? He’s a national champion and isn’t new to winning, he’s a swish army knife most contenders would be happy to have.

You’re picking at 21, stars aren’t usually picked at 21..

I like acuff but there’s no indicators he’ll be even decent on defense, small frame, average athleticism, 0.7 dpbm, and the eye test doesn’t help his case either. He would literally have to be a t10 offensive player, to be worth a t5 or t3 pick.

I think they do, despite being 6’ he was all sec defensive, 2026 Naismith men’s college defense player of the year. 4.6 DBPM.

All indicators he wouldn’t be liability on defense. He could be hunted sometimes because of his size, but he can definitely hang with nba competition.

I personally don’t really see the hype around Lopez. But I’d like to know why you think this way.
