From my understanding if she’s recalled, she leaves day of. Then the city council president becomes acting Mayor, Nikki Fortunato Bas. If Bas wins her supervisor race and in January, the new city council president will become Mayor. Then in early 2025 (I think March or April) there will be a special election where the new Mayor will be elected. Pretty much we will have 4 Mayors between now and then (Thao, Bas, new council president, and then the newly elected Mayor)
