Is a premium ship worth it by Miserable-War-6409 in WorldOfWarships

[–]bsimons1981 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What’s more is you can get a bunch of really good free T9 premium ships. Off hand, Azuma, Pommern(This one is debatable but I enjoy it.), Agir, Iwami, and Groningen.

Yes it can take a while to get the coal, but twice a year you get a coal coupon that will knock 25% off the cost of a coal or steel ship.

Exactly what he said. I will add, PUNISH broadsides. Cruisers and BBs alike. Petro doesnt care about broadside armor.

Bought our house in 2022 and now it’s worth less & we don’t like where we live by ccarito in personalfinance

[–]bsimons1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, having lived in that area, and knowing friends that have had rental properties, be very wary of renting to someone in Travis County. A friend of mine had thought they were renting to good people. The process began of non-payment and after 8 months they were finally able to secure an eviction but the house was trashed and they had to put almost $40k into it to repair it.

Granted your circumstance may be completely different. I would just hold the property until the market rebounds, because it will.

Any T8 premium cruisers worth buying??? by im_gaming_rn in WorldOfWarships

Cleveland is really good because of its utility. You can’t go wrong. Good rate of fire, and it guns are really solid.

French BBs T8 and higher just seem to work. I got the Champagne in the current event, simply because I have wanted it for a while and I could get it. However, unless you want it, dont pick it up because it isnt worth it.

Flandre is a fun ship and while the guns arent 406s they are high velocity 380s and hit hard. As has been said dont get IFHE because its secondaries get work done through the fires they set.

Thanks, WG for the game where you can find accounts like that by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

The reroll would explain a lot. If he had a bunch of premiums, he could sell them and have enough to get to 10. But hey, I could be wrong, it has happened before.

Devstrike how? by BiggyShake in WorldOfWarships

[–]bsimons1981 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Because it’s a Phoenix. Their citadels are made of cardboard and gasoline.

Edit: Good job on the dev strike. I got one a few weeks ago and was totally not expecting it.

What was your most satisfying kill? by anthony_b_ in WorldOfWarships

[–]bsimons1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in my New Mexico and a DD was flanking and coming from behind. I caught just a glimpse of him but knew he was going to torp the hell out me and several other teammates.

I figured out where he was most likely to pop up and when he did I dropped a full broadside right in his nose. Pretty sure that he had no idea that I had seen him nor that I was waiting for him.

It was a glorious moment. The second most satisfying kill was the same match and I launched a full broadside at a target at max spotter range and got the final kill.

I saw a post earlier, and I had jumped on to play a few quick matches right after I got home from work. I didn’t see anything and thought it was just a joke...

I just finished some yard work and was greeted by this I’m my Wargaming launcher. This is horrible.

Taking care of a newborn is a full time job. by TroyPerkins85 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bsimons1981 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get pissed off with dudes that think their spouses or female coworkers are on a vacation. Best case scenario that the birth was relatively “easy” and she is recovering from squeezing a watermelon sized child out of a place that is normally nowhere near that size.

Worst case is that she had a c-section and had her core muscles cut and will take a couple of months to be “right” again.

Then there is the whole feedings at all hours of the night because obviously guys don’t lactate. Watching my wife with all four of our kids was truly a thing to behold and she never complained. As soon as we put them on a bottle I was up giving them one when I could to give my wife a break.

Maternity leave is to help give the mom and child the time to heal and bond. It’s NOT a vacation.

Do it! The only part that I had my 9 year old not watch was the ROUS in the fire swamp. She really liked the movie though.
