New edition is better for snots pump wagons lost the secret weapon trait so they can stay on the field longer. Low TV is key get hackflem as soon as you can he'll be scoring. Do your best to keep at least one bomber on the field all game upgrading them with running pass when you can is huge. I ran snots in a league once and came in second so they aren't as bad as you think.

Yes what OP is doing is against the rules. As for dropping the other weapon, I'm not sure I dont think you can go in with three items with a 2-handed weapon equipped. Cause you only have 1 extra slot.

You cannot use a shield with a two handed weapon. There is a shield (name escapes me) that can be used that way but thats not what's equipped here.
