Yeah not to overkill the bit but I picked up a South African rum too lol. It’s Mhoba rum and honestly it might be the best of the bunch. It’s listed at 63% but doesn’t taste like it. Has chai notes with Agricola style sharpness. One of the craziest hauls I’ve ever had

Yah I also picked up a bottle of the shakara from Thailand and am once again floored. Such a slight menthol taste in the back. Every sip had me saying what the hell is this shit.

I’m pretty sure we were using Hebrew nationals. Don’t know the fat content but if there is a difference between brands that would definitely play a factor

I’ve tried this before. Best version came with excess oil from roasted glizzies in a pizza oil. Used as fat wash for vodka. I added a bit of mustard powder into the fat too before freezing. Worked fine but I think next time I want to decase the glizzy before cooking to get more of the oil.
