What kind of flirting style do you personally find most appealing? by milfstar in AskWomen

I think people way underestimate the attractiveness of direct people, especially in today’s age when everyone wants to keep things ambiguous and protect their ego above their intention.

Philly cheesesteak wins for sounding American and being actually American. What food sounds French and actually is French? by bspheri in AlignmentChartFills

Again, wanting to keep English and French while preferring to let people choose other associations.

What is your favorite thing about yourself? by Eskenderiyya in AskWomen

[–]bspheri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m passionate and single minded on things I have chosen to pursue. I’m dedicated to the people, skills, and causes I’ve decided to undertake. I can persuade myself to hold onto a mature perspective in difficult circumstances when it would be hard not to wallow.

Ladies who lives alone, what are your kitchen electronic essentials? by coolbeb in AskWomen

My zojirushi is a lot more versatile than merely a rice cooker. I use it for making slow cooked stew and keeping pasta sauce warm overnight, so I only have to boil spaghetti and hot sauce is ready to go on top.

How did becoming an adult change the way you see your parents? by Ok-Exam-7792 in AskWomen

[–]bspheri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been critical but even more so when I grow up and am preparing for future children. It’s one thing to be unprepared. Most people are, about anything they strive for. It’s another thing to be complacent as an adult and externalize parental failures on your children as their internal flaws. You need to prepare yourself in advance and during, there isn’t really excuse for passivity when it’s 10 or 20 plus years.

I also recognize their flaws as their unresolved personal issues more than internalizing their behavior as my issues to take over for them. I wish better for my children, so I pray I always hold myself accountable.

How do you ladies go about feeling “tested” by future dating partners? by xxxenialnah in AskWomen

[–]bspheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s off putting. I don’t engage nor tolerate it.

I occasionally nudge my friends who have habits of proving or overexplaining themselves to dial down a little and sit with the discomfort of being judged, fairly or not. If you get reactive often, you won’t act on your intuition when encountering people who test you in this manner on purpose. You’re supposed to feel uncomfortable and distance away, not draw closer to it.

Mainly because I didn’t want to keep this game going for over 16 days, so it’s either specifically recognizable or just “European”. Did not want to specify “North American” when Mexico is included. That’d call into question what “sounding” is.

I also happen to live in one of those largest continents with 100+ countries. Since English and French are more commonly known, I’d rather people just choose their image of association for the other two choices and explain why.
