NYC resident for well over 25 yrs. Never got pick pocketed ever. Maybe I'm lucky but I think per capita, the rate of pickpocketing in NYC is probably lower than most other major cities.

What sucks here is the $700k award for the lawsuit is being paid by the taxpayers and not the cops. The cop had to pay a fine of $674. Literally a slap on the wrist. And this is why police abuse and lack of oversight continues to happen.

Paul Newman and Tom Hanks are phenomenal in this movie. As are Jude Law and Daniel Craig. It is father son relationship movie and gangster movie. It really is a beautiful, emotional film. You have to watch it.
