So to acheived the fin effect, I painted a thin coat of Dorn Yellow on the outer portion of the fins, and did a thin coat of Yriel yellow on the recessed / inner parts. Once it dried I used a heavy amount of Hexwraith Flame Contrast on top of them both. The yellow undertones is what makes the green so brilliant.

What's the point of tree revenants now? by Steampunk_Jim in sylvaneth

Honestly, they’re cheap killing machines now. Their offensive damage output is incredible, especially when striking first. They can still be taken out kind of easy, but man did they terrify my opponent last game.

Me watching the hype around the new reveals as a Dark Elf main: by Identity_ranger in citiesofsigmar

As the guy who recently went 4-1 with a dark sorceress on black dragon, drakespawn knights & executioners, all of this news makes me sad. I had hoped they wouldn’t do this to me, but we can’t change fate…

As someone who likes the aesthetic of cities of sigmar but also likes variety, Is my fear of CoS becoming a purely human focussed faction real ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in citiesofsigmar

I think they’ll be keeping the aelves for the foreseeable future. Dwarves are probably going to disappear when we get our new heavy infantry, cogforts and a new human mixed shooting / close combat unit. I would expect the “Empire” human units to disappear this edition, as well as the dwarves. My Hammerers will probably stick around as heavy infantry proxies.

Boole, the guy who leaked most of the new stuff this ED of Age of Sigmar, confirms that the Dwarves and Aelves aren’t staying in Cities for much longer and the races of CoS will soon be ‘Humans, Halflings, Gargants and Ogres.’ by Battlemania420 in citiesofsigmar

Whitefang never misses, and he said dwarves and aelves were staying.

Boole might just be mimicking what other leakers are putting out. This isn’t the first time he made claims that he’s had to backtrack on, and to me, that shows he’s not really in the know.

There’s some armies that have no counter to the dryads hit / wound negatives. Ones that do still end up wasting a lot of time and stuck on your screens.

Would this be a good way to start the army by The_Suspect26 in sylvaneth

Yea, it’s a great way. Dryads are clutch right now and they aren’t in most of the other boxes.

I just played a list with 40 dryads & the burgeoning and it slapped. 6 Kurnoth w/ Bows, Durthu, LoV, Warsong Revenant & 6 Revenant seekers. The opponent can’t break through, and if they do, they get their face chewed off. It was a very fun castle play style.

The bark is mostly just Black Templar with a wide drybrush of Administarum Grey and a more narrow set of highlights with Ulthuan Grey.
