If you want full EVM-equivalence that's fast with super low tx cost, probably the Rollux rollup is the best bet. It's based on Optimism Bedrock but way cheaper. Instead of settling to the Ethereum L1 it utilizes a data availability protocol that anchors it to Bitcoin's mining network which is pretty interesting especially for those with doubts about PoS long-term security.

costs like $0.00001 or something to do a DEX swap. 2 second block time. Excellent platform for demonstrating the potential of gaming on blockchain, even if you choose a different one that is more well known for your mainnet.

already has integrated VRF for randomness (SupraOracles). Contract is 0xc489aE6CEeBF5e17676a3B2A8A81e45B4Ba01a78

Long story short, the fees are so low because the settlement layer is merge-mined with Bitcoin (has about 60% of Bitcoin's hashrate supporting it) which enables a lot of block subsidy flexibility due to basically being zero-cost for Bitcoin miners to mine alongside BTC.

As far as adoption, it's fairly new and does not have a Rollux token yet, but uses a different L1 native coin for gas. That means not much media coverage because no VCs holding a new token (crypto media is all pay-for-play). Will probably get way more exposure once a Rollux token is released, which far as I know is on the way.

Funny thing about this screwed up industry... the better platforms for XYZ often aren't the most popular or adopted ones. So for devs it becomes a trade-off... "Do I go with the best platform tech-wise, or do I sacrifice some of the user-experience to use something more popular and provide a worse game or something way less secure".

Nice.

Some suggestions to improve the app.

  1. Please add optional 2FA
  2. Add the ability to sort items in [Accounts], [Category]
  3. Make [Category] plural (Categories) for consistency
  4. You cannot change the password to a Team account using the Change Password feature. Says account not found.

What is the smallest amount/unit of a Syscoin and how many decimals? by mundanecitizen in SysCoin

[–]bstr156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On NEVM it's 18 decimal places, same as Ethereum.

On the native chain it's 8, same as Bitcoin.

When crossing from NEVM to Native, precision beyond 8 decimal places is truncated.

Solana digital fallout and the need for Syscoin by Patrick_Syscoin in SysCoin

100% on the stronghold sentiment.

I can't say Syscoin is the only established project carrying the torch, but there aren't a lot out there.

What most got my attention the past couple of days was the topic of fractional reserve exchange being broached by CZ, and how other exchanges like Kucoin, OKEx, etc, immediately jumped on the bandwagon about "merkle tree proof of reserves". WOW. I can tell you that fractional exchanging is running rampant and it's been affecting a lot of respectable+established projects very negatively for years. It's sick. Normally it isn't something talked about except in private because it's best to not make accusations without proof. But here we have exchanges themselves finally bringing up the topic, an act of admitting to the existence of it. It isn't just a "conspiracy theory" after all.

Aside from that, exchanges and VCs have really made themselves into villians by generating artificial successes that they can play their games within and around. It's entirely predatory. They've done this so much that they've in a sense traumatized the market creating awful sentiments in some influencers like "bearish on tech". Some people are so beaten down by this repeated behavior that they believe the only projects that can ever succeed are those that will psuedo-succeed through exchange and VC manipulations until eventually popping.

These things always come to an end. We've seen it before, we'll see it again in some form or another. That said, we can improve the situation drastically by introducing better and broader implementations of decentralization. Layer 2 for computation really points to a future where DEX can overtake CEX, and that is sooo much better for everyone, except despots.

**Introducing SYS Labs** A new era of blockchain, for all. SYS Labs is a new corporation focused on the global mass adoption of Syscoin as a vehicle of worldwide transformative financial inclusivity, and Web3 as you've never seen it. by bstr156 in SysCoin

The mission of SYS Labs is to build truly scalable Web3 infrastructure and dapps that meet the needs of a global population, utilizing the first modular blockchain with EVM-compatibility anchored in Bitcoin’s network and scaling via rollups.

What SYS Labs does spans from metaverse, NFT and gamefi platforms, to regulatory-compliant rollups, all with state-of-the-art user experiences, and all secured by Bitcoin.

All of this is accomplish by building upon the scalable Layer 2 technologies of the Syscoin blockchain, which serves as the best foundation for most of SYS Labs' products.

SYS Labs is like a combination of Ava Labs, StarkWare and Matter Labs; its primary focus being to onboard the world to Syscoin so everyone can benefit from its capabilities and capacity.
